My MIL called and said that it is Billy's kidneys are failing him, they are going to rehydrate him and see if that does anything. It really isn't looking good though.

Poor Billy. I will keep him and your MIL in my prayers!

Greetings friends. It's my first post of 2014. I had a great vacation but it's really good to be back.

I didn't make it. I was about 1km from home and the heat got to me. It's about 34°C (93.2°F). I called for a lift, had a nice cool shower, some lunch and it's back to work.

Wow, that is hot! I wouldn't even be out in that kind of heat. I'm glad you were able to get a lift!

 

[Holiday]

Good morning everyone!
We got several inches of snow over night and it is still falling lightly. This is what my driveway looks like this morning. My husband is trying to dig the cars out now. Thankfully school is still out and the outlets are closed today, so the girls do not have to work. I will pop back in later. I'm going to see if I can help my husband outside.

BEAUTIFUL!!! Stay safe & warm!!!!

Good evening!
It has been snowing lightly here for a couple of hours now. We are expecting heavy snow and high winds overnight and we may see up to a foot of snow. Two of my girls have opening shifts tomorrow morning. The outlets closed at 4:00 this afternoon before it even started to snow so I'm sure they will be closed tomorrow. Fingers crossed!
I ended up taking my middle one in to the doctor this morning because she didn't feel well when she woke up. I can't seem to stay out of that doctors office lately. Oh well, better safe than sorry!
I didn't do as much as I would have liked today but we got one of the girls bedrooms cleaned. I plan on doing the other rooms with them tomorrow. I always have to push them to do it but they are so happy after its done. It's so nice to put all of those Christmas gifts away and get rid of the piles of boxes and gift bags. It's a good feeling!
I'm feeling sleepy so I'm going to turn in soon. I hope to catch up here tomorrow. I'll see you in the morning.

I hope your daughter is better soon! I see in a later post that a lot of snow fell in your area - stay safe and warm! How are Maggie, Molly and Bentley?

NO WAY!!!! I consider every body of water has hidden secrets. I couldn't even swim at night in the pool at night in Bali on my honeymoon... too many shadows! I am rowing against the tide in the cold, cold rivers, where I still fear sharks and crocs and man eating goldfish might lurk but I am told it's too cold, or I'm at the local lake. My dad and I took the tinny out into Botany Bay and sat under the runway strip for a plane to go over. I remember the up and down and up and down and not being able to see the horizon on the down but i could sure see the bottom and kept looking for sharks. I remember also being with Dad and my brother in an estuary and we bottomed outed and my brother got upto his chest in mud to pull us through and that's where the aggressive bull sharks live!!

And I thought that this sounded scary!

I spoke with him yesterday. It was a difficult Christmas for his family, but he sounds good. Hopefully, he'll be back with us soon.

I haven't heard from dawg.

It's currently -5 & snowing! ️

We have a wind chill warning in effect. It's going to be windy & white out conditions as well. On Monday, our high is -15. Some cities nearby have already cancelled school.

Last night, we took down our Christmas village & a smaller tree. Today I will work on our big tree.

I can't seem to get rid of my cold. It was starting to improve last week, but then came back full force on NYE. Now it's more of a cold/body flu. Hope to also rest a lot today.
Harlowe has been such a sweetie, they know when you're not feeling well.

The snow is winding down here, but the temps are hovering around 0F and it's windy, with wind chill temps well below zero. My office is closed today, and Mr. is working from home. (Thank heaven---I didn't want him out in the snow OR getting frostbite in this cold waiting for the commuter rail, which is notoriously unreliable in cold weather.) So happy we're both safe at home! We'll shovel later when the snow is done falling.

Our temps are supposed to fall below zero overnight, then rise this weekend to nearly 50F on Monday, then they are to take another nosedive following some rain. So it sounds like an ice-fest early next week. I'd rather have the snow.

I'm glad you and Mr. are safe and warm at home! Be careful when shoveling!!

We are doing well. We may be adding a new fur baby to the family! My son is having a difficult time since the tornado in May. He has had separation anxiety any time he is away from us. The doctor said so many kids in Moore are having a hard time coping with the event. Long story short, there is a dog that is trained that we may get to sleep in my son's room and just be his buddy. I think it would be great! I will keep you posted.

Good chilly afternoon, MMC!

All my outdoor fur kids are fine! I was worried about Shaggy - he was snoozing outside in the shade and it is in the teens in the sun. That dog loves the cold! Working on store stuff today and trying to stay warm. Tomorrow is a warm up of sorts and I have a ton of errands to run, not to mention working.

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's downright cold here in central Indy where we are hovering around -4 degree's now. We should get up to around 10 this afternoon. Needless to say, I have the heat cranked up and the coffee flowing. I got about 11 hours of sleep last night. I just crashed. So while I have some energy today, I think I'm going to pack up the Santa's. The tree will stay up a few more days though. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
