Happy Epiphany everyone! For our family this marks the last day of Christmastide. Most of our decorations came down yesterday but a few are still out including our nativity scenes. This morning my girls moved the three kings right next to the manger for Epiphany. Tonight is our Epiphany feast. For those interested here is our tradition:

although this year our feast is carb free thanks to my wife's New Year's Resolution :-(
So smart. We are closed here again for tomorrow, too.
Knocking on wood! it's supposed to warm up to the 20's by the end of the week.
How are the kids & Ella handling the cold?

Time to bundle up and up head out to mom's car again. See y'all when I thaw out!!!
I think that texting can be more dangerous than talking on the phone.
Good afternoon, Christmas family!
We got at least a foot of snow here. Driveway is halfway done and if the plow should go through the very end of the driveway will be quite the mess. Usually a few car lengths either side of the driveway are cleared but I am too tired to do any more. I am quite out of condition since I was taking it so easy with my knee for a good part of the fall. Four out of eleven cats have showed up looking for water and food. Shaggy is outside, reveling in the day - goofy dog!
Be safe, warm and MERRY!!!
beautiful view, remind me of being on top of Husdson's Bay mountain, Smithers BC, I sure miss the mountains. That sounds awesome! I would have loved that!! LOL When we summitted Pike's Peak in Colorado it was -8. Wind chill was -35. About 2pm in March. I was in Heaven.![]()

14 degrees today and nothing more than a spit of snow. By the time we get more precipitation this week it will be warmed up (50s) and raining.....grrrrr. I'm not complaining too much though; at least the cold is bearable here. My family, pets, and neighbors are all safe and sound and warm. And on that note I'll be enjoying my hot chocolate now..and maybe a nap.
Stay warm everyone!!
The church where she works does just that. She's at work right now and her husband went with her till his job starts at 3pm today.![]()

I've got the beds all ready and we'll a huge feast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's a good thing I called around to see who had the pet friendly ice melt, so many stores were out of it. I would have been driving around in circles. I found a Petsmart that had a few left so I just picked up a couple of jugs. I don't want anyone else falling here!
Bundle up and stay safe, friend!!!!!
My heavy gloves are still soaking wet from dealing with the snow yesterday. So I'm using 2 pair of thinner ones and they just don't keep the cold out as good.
My daughter sent me this picture she took from the office of the hotel where she works,,,,

Good evening, all! Wow you guys were chatty today, which I love, but I can't get caught up right now.
I am off to take a nap before work tonight. I will try to read some more posts tonight if I get the chance. I am praying for you all, especially for us all, in the extreme weather that is going on right now. Stay safe and warm everyone.
Talk you all either later on or tomorrow! Enjoy the rest of your evening! God Bless and keep smiling!
