Hello everyone! G'night everyone!! What a day!! As predicted it was super chaotic at work. But I made it through. I heard on the radio today that it was suppose to be the toughest day of the year in the office..that is no surprise since the holidays are over and vacations are over, and most of us who made New Years resolutions have broken them so they said that all made for the roughest day of the year! Well that makes me feel somewhat better knowing that it is all uphill from here! Anyways it was not that bad of a day just busy!! We had cloudy weather with a high of 29F right now we are sitting at 20F and tonight we are getting down to around 17F and tomorrow we are getting above freezing to 35F so we will lose some snow. Fear not though because weds night and the rest of the weekend we have a 30 to 40% chances of snow showers. In the next 10 days no snowstorms to speak of and it has been a few weeks since we had a big snowfall.

Well tomorrow my oldest son Jordan will be 2 years old! This time 2 years ago I was nervous and had no idea what was in store for me and Brandi! It seems like so much longer than 2 years but in other ways it seems like yesterday! We are having a few friends over for ice cream and cake so I am looking forward to that..it's so great seeing your kid have fun...we are kind of looking forward to the so called terrible 2's!!!only thing I see him doing is just running around nonstop he really is a good child!!! well I better go to bed...I hope everyone is doing great so far in 2014..I am going to try to be around at work now that today is over with things should slow down....Gooodnight and stay warm everyone in the Midwest and New England.....that weather is crazy I see!!!

Happy Birthday to Jordan!

Snowflake, it was amazing. I told everyone to keep it in perspective....she is 3 months. As she was opening up gifts, I would laugh (to myself, of course) because she won't be able to play with some of the stuff until she is 3 or 4. But it's ok...she is loved.

I don't know what it is, whether that we had so much trouble and experienced two miscarriages, that I'm 37 and having my first kid after I didn't think it was going to happen, but I haven't ever cried....now I do twice a week. Christmas was the worst! I was like a waterfall...I really think I'm just allergic to pink and that is what is going on. My family laughs at me....the ol' rough and tough coach is now putty in the hand of a three month old. My Mom says the transformation has been amazing to watch in me the last year....how I have come much more loving and open about my feelings...but I want her to see how a man should treat a baby and a woman...and it's ok to wear your heart on your sleeve...sometimes.

Enough of that crying mushy crap....football's on...(that ol' coach still shows up)

That is so sweet, Coach! Your daughter and wife are so lucky to have you! You remind me so much of my DH, when it comes to his feelings. Becoming a father really changed him too, with him showing his feelings, which is okay. I think it's wonderful. You sound like such a great dad!

Good afternoon, Christmas family!

Well, as I posted earlier the plow went down the road today - surprising as we live on one of the last roads to be taken care of after storms. The driveway is now passable, too. A snow shovel was used to push the bulk of the snow into piles and then a garden shovel was used to throw some of the heavier bits over said piles. Fun stuff and good exercise! I didn't feel cold when I was outside, but I sure do now!

Be warm, safe and MERRY!!!

I hear you about feeling it when you come inside. My hands have been stinging for about 30 minutes now and I was only outside for 15 minutes this last time and had heavy gloves on.

What a pretty winter wonderland!! ❄️

It is beautiful!!! If it wasn't so cold, I would go take a walk through the woods at the end of the street and get some really good pics.

I see you were awake at 4 this morning - hope you get a good nap in today!

Thanks, I had just come back in from starting mom's car again and letting it warm up. I think I slept about hour then before getting back up and watching the news and then got another 3 hours or so once I got the call that mom had made it into work okay.

We've hit 6 degree's!!!! I'm about to change into shorts and go sit on the porch for awhile!!

I'll bring some sunblock & Corona's, lol.

Yep, I noticed that after taking Harlowe for a very short walk earlier.

We're up to 16F here.

In Hilo, it's 73F and mostly sunny. *sigh*

LOL!!! One of our meteorologists was telling everyone how warm was there this morning too. He started vacation after the morning newscast and is slated to fly out tonight to go there.
