Good evening/morning,

I stayed up for the last few hours getting caught up, 47 pages!!!!!
As Professor Hinkle would say: "Busy, busy, busy!"

I walked into an absolute clusterfluff (G rated version cheesy ) at work, it was a total and utter disaster. We got almost completely caught up by the time I left. I told them I will not, not take my vacation time because of some people won't pull their weight. I had to make sure I left on time to pick up the boys, get them home, feed them, and then right out to Cub Scouts. Needless to say I am exhausted.
Day off tomorrow, I will enjoy it.

Glad it started Star!!!!! I went out every 4 hours from yesterday morning until this morning and started my mom's car and let it warm for about 15 minutes. The first time it protested but after that, it did okay.

Hello my dear MMC friends!

My indoor Christmas decorations are still up and I am still watching Christmas shows and movies. Not as many as I was but enjoying at least one a day. I have to s-l-o-w-l-y wean myself off that. We cannot go cold turkey, can we?

It's a nice and chilly 22 degrees with wind chills in the teens! I finally feel like we have a winter for the first time in years. Now just bring on the snow! I hope all my friends who are going through the roughest part of the storm are staying safe and warm!

Thanks, I had just come back in from starting mom's car again and letting it warm up. I think I slept about hour then before getting back up and watching the news and then got another 3 hours or so once I got the call that mom had made it into work okay.

That's good that you got a few hours of sleep and it was very sweet of you to wait for the call from your mom! You are good son, made!!!

Good morning!
I can't believe how much colder it is today than it was yesterday, we have record breaking low temperatures. A couple of more days of this and then we will be back in to the 40's by the end of the week.
I let my youngest drive in to school this morning. Thankfully, the roads do not look too icy. I expected it to be much worse after all of that rain and melting snow yesterday. I told her a million times to go easy. They have to get a feel for driving in this kind of weather.
Not too much going on for me. I need a few things from Target so I guess I will bundle up later and go.

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's cold. REALLY COLD!!!!!! We are sitting at -14 right now with a -34 degree wind chill. They are saying that the roads are just a giant sheet of ice but since they lifted the travel ban, everyone has to go to work today. So there are wrecks everywhere. Mom just left here about 30 minutes ago and should be getting to work soon. The street her work is on has a DPW garage at the end of it so hopefully it's a little better than the rest of the streets out there. Thankfully we are going to get above 0 around lunch time so the chemicals and salt they have been putting on the roads should start to work. Not much on my agenda for today. I've only had about 2 hours of sleep so once I hear that mom made it to work, I'll probably just collapse. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

Well mom just called and she made it to work okay. She the roads are just crazy. Smooth and a sheet of ice or so rutted that it just jerks you all over.

I'm going to try and lay down for a bit. See y'all this afternoon!!!

Apparently, they will inhibit the body's ability to protect itself against the cold!
I think we're all in trouble.

I forgot to mention this but I have an Advent Calendar that you move the mouse in each pocket for each day. Christmasstar has the exact same one! For the first time I am starting over on counting down and moving the mouse each day for the month of January to Countdown to Rudolph Day! I don't think this will be a permanent thing but since I still have my decorations up I feel better moving the mouse instead of staring at it everyday being stuck on the last day like I do every year until the decorations come down.

I bought this Advent Calendar when I was 16 or 17 years old through Avon. I enjoyed it as a teen, with my kids when I started a family and now with the grandkids!

Love this idea. My parents have the same exact one, so I also grew up loving this one. I wonder if I could get away with leaving mine up as well...
