I stayed home from work again today, I just am not feeling well enough to go in, and the fact I work with food also figures in.
The Bruins are on again so I get to enjoy it, but I am hoping I nod off while watching for a little nap.

Good afternoon!
I'm having a quick cup of coffee before I get started on some more chores. I also need to make biscuits to go with my chicken soup. I ran a few errands earlier, I wanted to go to the supermarket but it was so crowded. I got a parking spot and went in to the deli department first to get some cold cuts. I took a number and realized there were about 20 people ahead of me. It was ridiculous, I decided to leave. I will go early tomorrow morning, hopefully they will still have everything that I need.
My youngest is home from school today and she has been begging me to take her to get her belly button pierced. I don't really want her to do it. She's been relentless and now I feel a headache coming on. I would have been better off staying in the supermarket. She just left to get a manicure so I have a few minutes of peace!

Good afternoon, dear friends! Just getting done with the cleaning I wanted to do for the day, then I will finish the rest on Wenesday, which is my next day off. I am relaxing now with the kids - a new series is starting on Disney Jr. and they are very excited. We are currently watching Toy Story 2 until that comes on.

I hope you're all enjoying you're afternoon/evening. I am off to bake some biscuits, to go with the soup for dinner!

Sounds like a great day, I am sure you all enjoyed dinner. I was recently thinking about making American biscuits. I love them but never made them before.

Well it's been quite the day. Mom's migraine is getting better thankfully, so we didn't have to go to the doctor's for her to get a shot. My sister was also in a lot of pain this morning though so I ended up taking her to the ER instead. We all thought it was a kidney stone but the tests all came back negative. So the doctor at the ER thinks it's an ulcer. So they told her what to take and if it's not better in a couple of days, she is supposed to follow up with her regular doctor.

So needless to say, I didn't get anything done today. I also see that I am way behind on here. I'll try to get back here later and catch up but I won't make any guarantee's.

I am glad your mom is feeling better and didn't need that shot. So sorry to hear your sister is having such pain. I hope it resolves itself very soon. You have had a busy day today! Rest up and fingers crossed tomorrow is a better day!

Looks like a slower than usual night on here tonight.

I spent most of my day laying down, I also canceled out on taking my boys to Cub Scouts tonight, just did not feel up to it.

The Bruins won an exciting game, I tried napping but I couldn't not watch the game.

I have tomorrow off, usual day off, so one more day to rest and hopefully get better. I really don't want to go to the doctor.

BEE. U. TIF. UL Day!!!

It was about 60 degrees today, nice and sunny. Took baby for a walk, picked up the house, got some work done, and visited with my folks. Now, it's back to work.

It was 60 at 2:00 pm, now we stand at 45. It's going to keep dropping until it hits around 15 tomorrow night around 6:00 pm. Gonna be chilly, but not as cold as some of you! Y'all stay warm!

I'm off, time to head to bed. No ballgames tomorrow night, but it will still be a heck of day. I've got some rough stuff to deal with. Hope some of the involved parties cooled down over the weekend.

I did the same thing as CS's daughter, my parents asked me to wait & I did. Until I was 25! I still have my belly button pierced, and take good care of it. I have never had an infection =)

You and CS's daughter are good girls! My daughter is relentless. I'll probably end up bringing her so she doesn't drive me crazy. And if she is going to end up piercing it anyway I would rather go with her and make sure she goes somewhere safe!

And today's count numbers find us drawing nearer to Milestone #2 of 2014, the 1/4 point to the Season!
In fact, it is just 22 days off.
(And that's the same as 3 weeks from tomorrow, Yogi!)

Well, the brief warm respite was appreciated yesterday.
But now we are in for a long spell of below normal temperatures with frozen precip of some form predicted for later today and tonight.
Chilly right now at 36 degrees to start the morning here in central NC.

Wind chills of minus 30 to 35 this morning.

An Arctic airmass has settled over Southern Ontario. The combination of cold temperatures and moderate northwesterly winds is expected to produce wind chill values of minus 30 or colder this morning. Areas east of a line from Port Carling through Haliburton and Kaladar to Brockville - Leeds and Grenville the wind chill values could reach minus 35 or colder.

So going to be a chilly one!

How was your night?

I have parents meeting later so our evening will be somewhat hectic getting dinner sorted etc. beforehand. At least my son's report was pretty good so it should go smoothly.

I just spoke to my mum, she is doing well. Her nerves are settling down now although she is still a bit on edge. I am feeling so homesick today. Anyway we are planning Mum's visit for July - August. If all goes to plan she will visit for about 6wks! We are looking forward to it so much. It will be nice to have it to look forward to. It's like a mini Christmas with the planning and preparing LOL!

Ok well I should get going. I'll pop in and out.
