A quick note before I go to bed: I fell at the beauty shop today and blackened my eye and split my eye just under the brow, split my knee, (a really large area) hit and bruised my chin (larger than silver-dollar-size). I think the eye needs stitches, but I don't have time, LOL!!! The good news is that my hair color looks GREAT!

Oh no, I hope your healing nicely.

Have you seen much of "You Bet Your Life"? He's always making suggestive jokes in that show. It got so that the audience would laugh before he'd even said anything---they knew he'd try to make something sound dirty. The shows were filmed, and anything really objectionable got cut. One of the DVDs we have has outtakes. He'll say something that he KNOWS will never get off the air, then looks off-camera at the producer and say, "Snip snip!" He also liked to lead contestants into saying something that could be taken the wrong way.

I was going to repeat his most famous cut gag, but thinking about it, I don't think I should! Legend says the gag was cut, but the audience reaction was saved to use as a laugh track.

Now I'm curious! :) is there anywhere online I can find info in this edited gag? :)

Amie is better, but little Anna is still not feeling good. She gets "clingy" when she is sick which I don't mind. I know there will be a day all too soon when she thinks she's too old to snuggle with her daddy. :)

Thank you for checking. Hope you are doing good and staying warm.

Glad Amie is feeling better, buddy. Anna remains in my thoughts & prayers

Please give the little cutie an extra hug from Harlowe :)

Happy 11 months to go, friends.. it's snowing (again!) in honor of Rudolph Day!

Wow, what a beginning to the New Year! I wonder what in the world possessed that cab driver to run the stop sign? Take care, JY.

:snowball:

HAPPY NEW YEAR
To you one and all!!!!!

I'm sorry everyone, the days are just flying by so fast!
It will be the Holidays again before we know it!
It's been quite harried around here; First, 45 minutes into the new year after driving a sick lady home from a very small gathering for New Year's Eve, very small, just the three of us. (It was ok, but a tad on the boring side.) Anyway on the way home I was entering an intersection and I noticed that a car was not stopping at the stop sign, it was a taxi, and I knew I could not avoid him, I hit him with my new car! I had the right of way, no stop sign, I hit him broadside on the driver's side. My lower bumper and grill broke apart, I was not hurt, but it was my first car accident EVER in the 36 or more years of driving! I was shaken, but fine.
Then I got to bed a little after 2 am, then I was awoken by a call on my cell phone at 7am. The gentleman I live with collapsed on the floor and needed help getting up, he had been battling a small bladder infection, so I had to call 911 to help get him off the floor and unto the bed. This man is over 200 lbs, and I'm only 135 lbs and slender, no way could I lift him. Later in the after noon on New Year's day, an ambulance had to take him to the hospital for tests, he was there for 4 days.
Then after he came home he became ill from catching a cold from the hosptial. One week later he is better, but since he is such a sharing man, he passed on this cold to me. He leaves dirty tissues around the house all the time, which I have to pick up, and then sanitize my hands. But due to the stress of everything, my immune system was not great, so I'm still struggling with my sinus cold, it's better, but coughing and nose blowing is still hanging in there!
My insurance company (AllState) has been fabulous, on Monday my new car is being repaired like new! Since the cab driver broke the law by running the stop sign, he was found negligent, so I don't even have to pay the deductible!!!!!!
Boy oh Boy....I can't tell you what a beginning to the new year this has been. And all the while every now and then I would think "I must write to my MCC friends and let them know Happy New Year!" So finally today I just stated "I must get on and write" so here I am.
I'm sorry I missed that wonderful opportunity to be on and greet everyone into the new year, I know you all will understand.
I do hope you all had a great time and a blessed one.
I hope the new year will end better than it had started! But my trust and Hope is in my Lord, and He for sure shall NEVER leave me! He kept me during the accident, and has helped me during this long stressful few weeks.
So I just want to say I love you guys...and girls, and I will be back on and keep conversing with you all!
Oh by the way.......there are people here who still have their Christmas trees up and the lights are still all around the city! I told you they love the holidays here, and the weather has been so cold, the lights can still make everything a bit more cheerful!
Ok that's it, talk with you all later!

Thanks, Made. Even with a bad headache, I am really feeling better. The more I move, the better the knee feels. It does hurt to touch my eye, knee, and chin, and I am really black and blue; but, I am definitely going to enjoy the dinner tonight and the meeting tomorrow.

Hope you are feeling better this morning!!!! Have a safe trip!!!

Hope your headache subsides, and that you heal quickly, friend.

Enjoy the dinner & the meeting. Have a safe trip.

((Hugs))

Christmas is finally packed away. Two trees, empty of ornaments, have been waiting patiently for me to put them in the basement and the last pile of decorations sitting in a corner for the past three weeks are packed up and put away. The girls were a little sad to see it all gone.

It's always a sad day to put the last of the Christmas away! :tree:

Hope you guys are doing well otherwise, friend.

Make sure you tell everyone tonight that you did it when you jumped out of a plane and landed in a tree instead of the designated landing field or that it was a snowboarding accident. Something dangerous!!!

Praying you heal quickly, friend.

I don't blame the girls. I still have a few things that I bought after Christmas sitting out in my bedroom and I don't want to put them away. It will just be to bland.

Well the sidewalk had drifted over so I went out and shoveled it again. Got my dishes done too. So I think it's time to reward myself with some hot chocolate and hostess sno balls.

That's a good reward!! Enjoy!! ❄️

I've never seen that show. I'll have to look up some clips on YouTube. Thank you.

There are also free radio episodes on Archive.org. The show started on the radio and migrated to television.
