Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good morning!
I'm having a cup of coffee and enjoying some peace and quiet. My husband is working this morning and the girls are sleeping in. I'm so happy my oldest has off from work today and can rest. She hasn't had a break since she got sick a few days ago. No big plans for today. I'm going to take the girls out later to grab something for lunch and I have to food shop at some point. I'm running low on coffee creamer so I will probably go food shopping soon! Other than that, just doing my daily chores.
I hope everyone is well and has a great day!!!

Hope the rest really helps your daughter get on the mend Thinking of her, and keeping her in my prayers.

Thanks, buddy. I have a few things to do this morning and then hopefully I can squeeze in a nap later this afternoon. I'm not going to hold out hope though. It's sounding like I may have to babysit this afternoon.

Morning all
So, we've been to the vet and have got MORE shampoo for Cracker. He hates it but stands there stoically with those "I don't know why you're doing this to me but I'll still love you anyway" eyes!!!

We have some friends who, well let's just say, aren't functioning as well as normal. She's broken her leg and he's just had his whole knee replaced and they've got a 3 year old!!! So, this past month we've been - or rather, my other half has been - taking them to various appointments, picking the 3 year old up from school, getting shopping (he actually works for them so just a variation in duties) I'm now designated babysitter and taker to Sunday Schooler, which is feeling, I have to say, a bit weird!!!! I can, however, hear my mother in my head saying "See, I knew I'd get you back to church one way or another"!!!!!! Sandy has to go down this afternoon - I think he's sorting out their fireplace - and then I got a call to go with him.......they need some vacuuming done!!!!!!!! I seriously don't know why they think I've got the domestic streak; it's all him!!!!!!!!!!

So, it's all about topping up on coffee and going vacuuming........that's a sentence I never thought I'd write............later, Christmas people!!!!!!

Good evening! I know I haven't read many of the posts, but I plan on getting caught up tomorrow. DH and I going out tonight with one of my girlfriends from work and her husband. I am very excited, as we haven't been out to actually do anything with another couple, except dinner since last St. Pats Day! My parents are watching the kids for us. It's long over due!

There is a winter storm watch out for my area ~ lots of snow on the way, but not as much as made's area might see. The snow starts tomorrow so if we get what has been predicted, I will be shoveling on Sunday instead of shopping ~ the fresh air and exercise will do me good!

I didn't get to read all the posts, but I did read some!

Ballcoach - what a scary experience yesterday! I hope & pray the little bambina is fine n dandy today!

HMG - I love Diners Drive Ins & Dives!! We have been to a couple of them. My sister/bil have been too many. So fun!!!

Made - I'm feeling the same way about our propane bill right now as you are about your electric bill! UGH!!!

We stayed in tonight. I browned the sausage & shredded hot pepper cheese for sausage bread for Moms birthday brunch on Sunday. I also made the creamy avocado dip for the super bowl. Last night I made the bacon/club cracker snacks. YUM! Tomorrow I'll finish the sausage bread (minus baking it) & I'll get the cinnamon rolls made. I'll just have to bake them Sunday morning. Those are really the only plans until Sunday. Jims Dad comes home from rehab tomorrow, so that's good news! They are calling for snow overnight so Jim might have to help him get in the house! Mom had her appt with the cardiologist today & her EKG was normal...more good news! Hopefully it stays that way!!!

Ok..I'm off to read more posts (I hope!)

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be a rainy day here with a high in the mid 40's. Then another 2 to 4 inches of snow overnight. At least the rain has melt the ice we got overnight. I have a few errands that I want to get out of the way this morning and then this afternoon, I think I have to babysit my youngest niece while my sister and oldest niece go out to deliver girl scout cookies. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

Merry Saturday! Happy First Day of February! Wow where did the last month go?

We are having a good Saturday so far. American Idol starts this evening so I may watch it , the auditions are always so funny.

Heading to bed now. Tomorrow is cat shelter day and I am eager to meet our new arrivals. It is bittersweet when we get new ones in as you know that they have usually come from a terrible situation and are glad to have saved them, but you wish that the situation (or, in the case of yet another litter of kittens, the cats themselves) did not exist in the first place.

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

The meeting with the county commission chairman went good last night, but I'm not sure it was worth all the effort. He wanted input from the people in the county about how to make our county attractive to young people, so they don't move away when they finish school. Obviously, most of the talk was attracting more industry for better paying careers. Then it went off-track, with arguments for particular dirt roads to be paved, and water services to outer areas. Oh well.

It's warming up to the upper 50's today, low 70's tomorrow, and 80 Sunday. Time to break out the shorts again!
