Good morning everyone. Home with the kids today for Presidents day. With all the cold and snowy weather we have been having I have Christmas on the mind. Picked up a couple gifts at the Hallmark store the other day - all their Christmas stuff is marked down 75% off. I just may go back again this week.



I plan on working on my Christmas notebook today... jotting down some new ideas for gifts, baking, decorating and activities.

Minta mentioned day off today (Presidents day), and I have the day off (family day)...how many more have today off?
Thinking we should get jet and visit Victoria for a day at the beach just to get nice and warm. We could get Carl to come with fired twinkies and sweet tea.

I am so glad to hear your daughter arrived safely and is having a good time. You must worry constantly when they are away. Something I will have to experience at some point when the boys are older I guess. Praying that she continues to be safe and arrives back home safely.

Merry Monday! Weekends go by so fast, hope you all had a good one.

Long day yesterday at work. This morning I woke up feeling better that I have been. I am not a good sleeper usually but last night I managed a few consecutive hours and boy does it make a difference.

Last week they announced that there will be redundancies at my husbands work by 2015. Still early days but it's on my mind and we won't know anything definite for another few months ugh! I hate not knowing what is going to happen especially in these circumstances.

My eldest is off school this week on mid term break. It will be nice not to do the school run in this weather Ok well I better go entertain the children and catch up with house chores.

Good morning!
I'm just popping in quick to say hello. I need to get started on some chores, I'm already behind schedule. My husband was talking to me about the new kitchen this morning and I thought he was never going to leave for work, lol. He's so excited about it and making himself crazy going over every detail. I'm not so picky. I just want it to be finished. Then Ben knocked over a vase of flowers that I got for Valentines Day and made a huge mess. I tell everyone not to buy me flowers because of the cats but they do anyway. Bella was throwing up leaves yesterday.
Not too much going on today. My two oldest do not have classes so they will be home. We're going to grab something for lunch later and then run to the mall.

Good Monday morning all. Well the snow is mostly melted in town although we still have a good bit on the ground at home. We are able to drive up to the house now. We got almost a foot and enjoyed every bit of it. The college where I work was closed so we sit at home and eat snowcream.

Oddly enough high school baseball practice starts today with patches of snow in the outfield. He will be playing in some cool weather. Last season we had several games snowed out. This will be our son's senior season so it is a bitter/sweet time. Starting when he was in T-ball at 5 years old, our spring has been filled with baseball. Hard to believe this will be the last year.

We have Presidents Day off here, and I'm enjoying it! We have no office holidays in all of March, and one in April. I don't have anything particular to do, so I'm hoping to enjoy some TV and crochet. Mr. is busy with his own projects, but we'll watch some stuff together later.

Then again, I like your idea of jetting to visit Victoria and having a warm day on the beach! We're expecting another 1 to 3 inches of snow overnight. I've said it before: enough already! But around here we can get plowable snow anytime up to about mid-April.

But with all the shoveling and snow blowing (by myself), I did over do it just a bit and ended up hurt myself on the inside. I reopened the surgical wound and started bleeding:-?. Lisa was all over me for ding that, about wrung my neck.... I've been taking it easy for the past couple of days, using a lot of ice. But I also ended up getting called into work; go figure (never a good time, where I am right now) but I am sitting, while I am designing a school project on the computer.

My boss really needed me and he's always been good to me, looks out for me and gives me a lot of leeway to do things, I just didn't want to let him down, so I came in last night for a few hours and I am here again. I kinda of figured that you have to take of people who help to take care of you....

Hopefully I will get out of here at a decent time today. Enjoy your day...

Man, you have to be careful with that kind of thing! I hope you're feeling better, and I hope your boss recognizes your dedication!
