Well, now. Winter is back with a vengance.
Steadily colder all day yesterday and by early afternoon, sleet was falling.
The temp has gone from a 70 degree high on Sunday to 19 this morning.
(WOW! What a shock!)
But warmer weather is coming back shortly.
It can't get much colder around these parts this late in the winter. (I hope!)

Now I need some breakfast, then taking LittleCS shopping, then meeting friend for pancake lunch.
Start job at Subway this Friday. So now I will be working full time again and worked it out that I have weekends off!!! Love it.

Almost 1/3 to the season....wow.

I have an alert on my calendar that does off on certain personal milestone throughout the year. Today, I hit 4 months until Christmas prep begins. I usually start getting ready on the Fourth of July (or right around it). This year, we have already talked about how we are going to need to be much more organized and prepared since we will have a little one who has a birthday in the Bers'....give us another thing to celebrate....Sept...baby bday....Oct...Halloween....Nov...Thanksgiving....Dec...Christmas!!!!! Isn't that going to be fun!

Snow day #2. Doesn't look like we will go tomorrow, either. Just going to hang out with Doc and Bambina and be thankful for what we have. Y'all enjoy today!

EA's birthday is in September, 15th to be exact and it is usually still warm enough, that I can have a party outside and we can still go camping or something that weekend too. She loves having her birthday in September. Little Bambina will as well!

Good evening to all! Hope your Tuesday was good. :] I had a seminar at uni and started working on my other essay after that. I am now doing final touches for my nuclear power debate on Friday because our group is meeting tomorrow for a demo presentation to make sure everything goes smoothly. I can't wait until the debate is finished!

Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well. I ran through the posts and noticed the weather is getting warmer in most of the places. Happy for spring coming at your places guys because Scottish weather thankfully has been simply fantastic for last three days. ^^

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

My city council meeting went well last night, although long-winded. Tonight is the meeting with the county commissioners and the other mayors to try to decide who will be running the new fire department. There's no way to get through this decisions without a lot of hard feelings. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, though.

It's over cast and cold this morning! Yesterday it got up to 78°, but today the high is 48° with a wind chill in the 30's. Brrrr!

Good morning!
It is going to be cloudy today with a high of 26 degrees. It's going to warm up as the week goes on and should be in the 40's by the weekend. That will be nice!
I am heading out soon, I'm going to the supermarket to pick up a few things. Then back home to get some chores done. And my daughter has a dentist appointment later this afternoon. Hopefully nothing else will come up.
My husband told me the material for our kitchen cabinets came in and they are starting to be built. We're getting there. Slowly but surely.

Good Afternoon, MMC!!!!! It was a cold start to the morning with a temp on -2 out here in the country. It was still 6 degree's in the city though so we didn't set a new record low for coldest temp in March like they thought we would. I've been busy getting some stuff done around the apartment this morning so I can head out and spend some time at Papa Roux's for lunch. It sounds like they are having one heck of a Mardi Gras party with live music and all kinds of food specials. So I'm off to get me a Po' boy and some red beans and rice for lunch. Then it will be back home later to make some Jambalaya for dinner. I might pick up a king cake while I'm at Papa Roux's for dessert too. Laissez le bon temps rouler!!!!!!!!!!!

PS- I also here that Carl is planning a Mardi Gras party tomorrow night at the Pines. There were rumors of a cajun crawfish blend. I'm sick to my stomach just thinking about it.

Good afternoon,

I am feeling very tired and rundown today, so I am taking it easy around the house doing laundry and dishes, watching something I recorded from PBS "Ed Sullivan Songs of the 60's." I wanted something Christmassy but couldn't decide what so I went with this. cheesy

I did make a run to Goodwill after I dropped of the boys at school, I found a couple cool Santa Claus ornaments, one is just a porcelain circle with Norman Rockwell picture of Santa at his desk writing with his quill. The other is a vintage looking wooden ornament that when you pull the string Santa's arms & legs go up and down. I paid a total of $1.86, can't beat that.

I need to get myself up and make some tortellini soup for lunch.

Good afternoon MMC! They day is slipping by & I haven't had a chance to log on here. Nothing major going on - same ol same ol! It's warming up a little - it was 22º at lunch. WOW! Gracie has a vet apt today for vaccinations. Poor girl. Look what she got into this morning - naughty Gracie!! :lol: (she had a BLAST! too funny!)

Good evening,

I spent a few hours with the upholstery cleaner, shampooing our furniture, with 5 cats and 2 boys it needed it.
Another well needed day off tomorrow, I may take a run to Goodwill to see if ant Christmas treasures have turned up, or if there is any good book to buy. Since I stopped buying a daily newspaper, I have been reading more books. I have read at least 6 books since October, and I need something new since I finished my latest yesterday.

I pulled a bonehead move earlier, I locked myself out of the house. I grabbed everything except my keys. I had my phone and called my wife, she got ride home and let me in.

I am tired enough to fall asleep now but I was hoping to stay up to watch a little Fallon, but that is an hour away.

Hello Christmas family! Sorry I have been scarce lately just getting ready to leave and there is soooo much to get done! I am leaving Friday but will be in touch here as much if not more than I am now! I will miss my family so much but I have been through this enough to know it will pass... I'm back from Sydney with my mind buzzing with new ideas to implement at work. I have 20 pages of posts to catch up on but I'm going to sit back and watch The Block, have a bath, then finish a brilliant book in bed. Nighty night all. Sweet dreams and warm hugs to all.

My skin is a mess, it is so dry. My hands are cracking, and I keep applying lotion. Can't wait for warmer weather! Looks like it is coming. Knock on wood! Ha!

My hands would be a mess, too, but I have been remembering to use lotion just about every time I wash them. I put 5 bottles in various spots: 1 by each sink, 1 in the bedroom, 1 on the table in the kitchen and 1 in my office area ~ whenever my hands seem dry, I dab some on. It has been working great!

Yummy ~ cupcakes! I was debating on making lemon and nutmeg cupcakes today, but I don't have enough time. I'm glad you are able to have weekends off!

Two suggestions that work for me: Neutrogena Norwegian Formula hand cream, and Burt's Bees Shea Butter Hand Repair Cream. The first one is good to use in the morning or during the day, because it's light and absorbs quickly. The second is a thick ointment that takes longer to absorb, but it's good stuff. The cold, dry weather really does a number on skin, especially hands. I hope you can get some relief---and some warmer weather soon!

Jergens original scent, Vaseline repairing moisture, Suave cocoa butter & shea and Dial Nutri Skin for extra dry skin is what I have been using ~ they were on sale and I had a coupon for them during double coupon days. They have been working great, though, as I have been using them more. cheesy

We have 3 birthdays to celebrate around the holidays. My niece's on Nov 17th. My aunt's on Nov 23rd. Then my mom's on Dec 22nd. So yeah, You have to plan early for all of the extra gifts and events going on.

Late fall and winter is when the majority of the birthdays (11, if I counted right) and anniversaries (3) fall in my family, not counting aunts and uncles. Two of my nieces and my birthday are the only ones that fall in the summer. A grandnephew and grandniece have birthdays that fall in the spring. I never thought I had a big family until I wrote this out ~ cool! cheesy

Too cute! Palmer used to go after the bath tissue all the time until I learned to keep the roll tight on the spindle. How is Buster doing? Sending hugs out his way! I hope you are having a great day, too!

I do the same, grab my keys but forget the phone.

I keep my phone by/in my purse when not in use ~ haven't forgotten it yet! I also made it a habit to put my keys in my purse once I am in the house ~ haven't forgotten them of late, either!
