Christmas Countdown - 2014

Home from the hospital. They kept mom again tonight. She should be released tomorrow sometime. All of her tests came back fine today. So they are just putting her on a more powerful blood thinner. Her right foot is still pretty numb though and she can't walk without a walker. It is better than it was this morning when I left so hopefully it continues to improve.

Glad to hear your mum is improving. Hope she will keep doing so. *hugs*

I went turbo through the posts tonight, not a lot of time to do much on the computer tonight. I work tomorrow and have Sunday off,it will be my first day off with my family in 3 weeks. So much for this "new & improved" schedule they were promoting at work.

I am exhausted, eyelids heavy, soooo...

Good morning everyone! It's cloudy right now but we should get a little sunshine later today. And BBC forecast says no rain too. BBC never lies. ^^ I hope to catch up with my mum in a afternoon and get ready for ceilidh. It is traditional Scottish dancing evening. Student association organizes it every year and I missed it last year for no reason. So me with few other friends are going there tonight. :]

Hello everyone! I am just popping in to say after another long absence. We had such a different Christmas with a major ice storm and finding out our furry son Fernando had bone cancer. We had to say goodbye on February 10th.... He was such a sweet boy and we all miss him so much! I hope to get in here more this year! Part of my "ME" time commitment!

Good morning!
No matter how hard I try to sleep in a little bit on the weekend, I just can't seem to do it. I'm so use to my alarm going off early during the week. I have straightened up the house, emptied the dishwasher and started doing laundry so far. Not too much going on for me today. I do need to go food shopping at some point. My two oldest will be working for a few hours and my husband will be working on the kitchen today. He has a lot of the cabinets and most of the island built. It's still going painfully slow for me, but he's making progress. And I may take a ride to the mall this afternoon with my youngest, we both need a couple of things.
I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!

you sound like me, I have done some laundry, washed the kitchen floor, taken out the recycling and now have to work on a piece for a cake being picked up later today. Going to do some shopping later too.

And just in time for the Weekend!

Days to Christmas Day: 285

And with that auspicious marker behind us, it's time to relax, have a great weekend and not worry about the shockingly close proximity of our next Milestone!


Coolish yesterday but with lots of sun and no rain.
Should be even nicer today!
Right now, we stand at 50 degrees here in the wonderful central piedmont of the great state of North Carolina!

I am just catching up with some work while Hubby and baby has a nap and my other son is playing . I am going in to work tomorrow so enjoying being with the family today. We plan to watch Man of Steel later as we didn't get to last weekend.

Good morning!

Same here. Saturday is the only day no one has to leave the house for school or work but I am up the usual time if not earlier!! Have a good time at the mall later!

Thanks, Festive!! She is doing better this morning. Can walk pretty good without the walker at least for short distances. They are still making her use it when we walk around the halls though.
