Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good evening!
Oh my it's been a long day. I read through the posts quick but I don't have much time to respond. Just wanted to pop in quick and make sure everyone was well. I was out for quite some time today and I need to get some chores done before I go to sleep. I'm also giving extra hugs and kisses to the cats and dogs. I always feel guilty when I leave them for a few hours. We had fun at the parade even though it was kind of chilly out. And dinner was great. My in-laws made ten corned beefs this year. We all got to go home with leftovers. Well I really have a lot of things to do so I'm going to sign off for the night. I'll catch up here tomorrow. I hope everyone had a wonderful day, enjoy the rest of your evening!

We had a good day here, saw the movie, went to Ruby Tuesday for lunch, (very good and spicy wings there, Sugar). When we got home our oil burner wasn't working, had to call the emergency 24 hour number. There was no water being pumped in to it, so I can't wait to see this bill come in being an emergency on a Sunday. Just watching Thor 2, not really into it though, I am finding it quite boring.



Back to work in the a.m.

DH and I love Ruby Tuesday! They took the one out if out town here, closet one is about 40 minutes away. It was so good. They do have good wings. Good queso dip too!

Found out yesterday that I might have to go to Grand Rapids this summer! I love that place!

That is a gorgeous part of the state!

not really.....just having some waffles in the afternoon at my place with some friends and family.....my b-day is mostly pretty much non-existing.....not because I want to.....but because Kandice´s bday a week earlier takes up most of the extra money and nerves of the months.....lol.....just some nice time with fam and friends.....not so shabby I guess

Hahaha....that ´s so cute....I never had anybody congratulate me for the day before my birthday ........funny thing....I already had my first bday congrats on facebook.....by a friend from Aussieland.....way cool

That is something we have done in my family for years; I don't remember when or why we started. *smile*

Cold day in Jersey today! Went to breakfast with our usual Sunday pals, came back and chopped some wood, raked some leaves, blew out some beds, came in and lit a fire and thought of all of you!

I don't post nearly enough but my thoughts are always with you and on Christmas! Oh yeah, we stopped at an estate sale on the way home and I bought a Christmas CD and a timer for Christmas lights...so I guess I'm still in the spirit!

Time flies, I'll tell ya...and I so love to read the updates from our beloved Crown, my long time friend from Christmas.com.

Happy Saint Patricks day for those of you who celebrate it. I have some Irish in my family but it's not something I really identify with. My wife has some too. It's funny because my son has very fair skin and red hair. I'm part Cherokee, and since I'm on the roll my kids are listed as Native American at school for funding and tutoring purposes (schools around here receive funding for every Native American student enrolled). Anyway, they always look at my son with curiosity and ask what tribe he is. I always just say "the Irish."

Do today must be his holiday. He's in spring break so I know he'll enjoy it!

Good St. Patrick's Day morning, my Christmas friends!

I'm very Irish, with a name like McCooey, and I even have an Uncle Patrick. There are lots o' us in NY, but down here I'm so busy that the only name I answer to is Daddy.

Elizabeth's showcase dance after the week-long intensive dance camp was very good, but it was included in a show by the dance troupe that taught the class. They were doing mostly contemporary "weird" dancing, but by the end of the show they were in tuxedos and dresses dancing to more familiar music.

Hopefully things will slow down a bit now. I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to warm back up some today with a high in the low 50's. Mom has an appointment with her family doctor here in a little bit to follow up about the stroke and set up blood tests to work out the right dose of the new blood thinner. I also need to run by the store to pick up a few things I forgot over the weekend. Then it will be back home to let my Irish side shine and cook corned beef for dinner. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

Thank you! It runs very nicely and the motor is quieter than the older car. I drove it to work today (of course) and listened to the Irish playlist I put together over the weekend (the Irish Rovers, Tommy Makem, and the Clancy Brothers). I like the car very much overall, but I'm really, really enjoying the audio features!

Fun! I think that's the thing I love most about my new car too, the Bluetooth, heated seats, and car starter!
