Good morning!
It's going to be chilly today with rain moving in later this afternoon. We are currently at 28 degrees.
I woke up with a migraine again and I am dragging my feet. My head feels better because I took something but I am so tired now. Unfortunately I really need to get moving. I have a dentist appointment this morning, just a routine cleaning. Then I'll head back home to get started on my chores. Hopefully nothing else will come up and I'll get to relax a bit this afternoon!

I'm sorry you had a migraine. My wife suffers from those too. I hope your day and your head get all better and you get that energy back!

I believe it started out as an adjective---e.g., chiropractic method, chiropractic healing, chiropractic medicine---but probably got abbreviated in everyday use to "chiropractic." "He's licensed in chiropractic [medicine]."



Does anybody else often wonder how a word or phrase originated? I remember the day I discovered the origin of "record album." I was browsing through an antique shop and saw what looked like a photo album, but when I opened it up, each page was a sleeve holding a 78 rpm record. A record album! I guess when LPs came along and an album's worth of songs was on one disc, they kept calling it an "album."

Makes since. I learned something today!

I don't say much about Pines Day each week, but I do enjoy it. I tend to sit quietly in a strategic location where I can see most of the action (there's always action!), sipping on Christmas-blend hot tea. Someday I'll get bold enough to join in the hot tub.

There's only one word for what goes on at the Pines: shenanigans. Full throttle, all-out shenanigans, plain and simple. You may be better off in your strategic location!

It's Wednesday, doing my usual bit of nothing before work.
Watching one of the Christmas documentaries again, "Year 'Round Christmas," not one of my favorite ones so it will be erased after it is over. Love the festive commercials though.

How are you today?

I am well, tired but doing well!

The next few weeks are going to be extra busy. I have a new job!

I sent in my resume to a Chiropractor's office a few weeks ago, and have had two interviews there, and I was offered the job on Sunday. I am beyond excited! I was a Chiropractic Assistant in Las Vegas, and loved it. I had wanted to get back into it here, and was just waiting for the perfect opportunity to arise. I will work Monday-Friday, full-time, and have my weekends off again.

Chiropractic has helped me so much over the years, so it's great to be part of such a positive team again.

I will be working at both places for the next few weeks during the transition period, so I may not be around quite as much =]

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a rainy day here in central Indy. We have already seen out high of 52 and it looks like we will drop down into the upper 30's later this evening. I'm going to take mom to a few stores today so she can walk some and then it's back to the doctor's office to get her blood checked. They also gave her the paperwork for a temporary handicap placard on monday but the BMV is closed then. So we are going to swing by there and pick it up after the doctors. So lots of running today. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad to see your Mom is able to go out & about! Hope the blood work comes back good & you get all your running done! Keep the rain, ok?! It feels pretty good out there right now! Have a safe trip, enjoy your day!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

My meeting lasted for 3 hours last night, with a 2 hour presentation by the county folks and a 1 hour presentation by the city folks. Each group was trying to convince Bellville to go with them on the Fire Department. It's a long story, and it actually gets pretty technical, but there are good reasons to go with both of them. After the last guest left, we tabled discussion for another day. I'm ready to get this behind us.

It's another wet, cold day, and I have customers coming for a plant tour. All that means is, I won't get much work done. Oh, well. Sometimes you gotta schmooze (is that a word?) the customer to get him to keep buying. We'll see.

Afternoon ... well finally got our heater fixed yesterday. I am just glad this didnt happen during the holidays or when we had those below freezing temps. The heater repair bill killed my plans to go to more Christmas shopping this week and weekend. Oh well ... gotta have heat besides I am sure I will find more deals later on.

The snow we got Monday definately played havoc with the kids baseball/softball practice schedules. My daughter is suppose to have softball practice tonight but now they are calling for rain this afternoon/tonight. I guess we shall see.

Bummer you can't go shopping, but glad you have heat!! I have a feeling (unfortunately) that you will be needing that yet this year. Enough already of the cold/snow - kids have baseball/softball to play!!! :smile:
