Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good morning!
It's going to be partly sunny today with a high of 40 degrees, we are currently at at 23 degrees.
My youngest stayed home from school today, she said she couldn't sleep last night. She has missed so many days this year. I hope she feels better later, she starts her new job this afternoon and has to go.
Typical day here, I'll just be working on my daily chores. I also need to run to Rite Aid, I have a list of things that we need. And I need to work on a menu plan and grocery list for next week.

Fret not.
The next event will be along shortly.

So shortly in fact, it's scary.
So scary.......perhaps we should put off the shock until tomorrow. We can take these things better on Weekend Eve.
(Hint: The next two Milestones are on back-to-back days!)

Well, as the weather service predicted, we had yet another cold day yesterday but at least it was dry.
Now today begins a warming trend and we could hit 70 by the weekend.
Unfortuantely, the rain is supposed to return then, too.
Oh, well -- so it goes.
Right now, we are starting out at a still-cold 28 degrees here in our neck of central NC.

Merry Thursday! Is it Thursday already? Well atleast I have this weekend off Yaaay!

It's been a busy morning. I am trying to catch up with some spring cleaning. I won't be able to do it all today as I have my little one with me and some work to do. Hopefully I can finish the cleaning tomorrow. I want the weekend to be housework free !

I am going to put my son down for his nap and then work on a project.

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to be a rainy and windy day here in Central Indy. At least it's not snowing. I'm getting ready to take mom to work and then run a few errands. Then it will be back home to rest and get some stuff done around here. I'll try to catch up here this afternoon. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

I'm still waiting for my hubby to get home, he stayed late at his shop to work on the kitchen cabinets.
I never made it to the Christmas Tree Shop this afternoon, I'll have to go another day. My daughter canceled the interview she had this afternoon because she got a call from another store and they offered her a job. She starts tomorrow. She'll be working for Wilson's Leather in the outlets.
My throat feels a little scratchy this evening. I'm hoping its allergies and I'm not coming down with anything.
I'm feeling very sleepy so I'm going to get ready for bed.

I woke up too late to come here in the morning so I thought I will jump in for a while since I know have 3 hours gap between my lectures.

2 cakes baked, will decorate tomorrow. Working 8:30 to 12:30 so have all afternoon to put it together.
This is a golf themed cake and I have most of the deportations made already.

Now I am going to curl up with that book I am almost done with.

Can't wait to see pictures of the cake!

What are deportations? Or is that a typo? I wasn't sure if it was some type of lingo regarding baking that I was not aware of! lol

I am 100% exhausted, I will be quick.

Busy day at work.

The hockey game was great, the Springfield Falcons won 3-0 over the Adirondack Phantoms. Just seeing the boys faces as we got right down next to the boards at ice level as the players were warming up was awesome. One player crashed into the glass on purpose and scared the boys. We all made it on to the jumbotron TV screens above center ice. I will post some pictures soon.


I need to get to sleep, just popping in because I can't stay away. cheesy

Well mom's appointment with the vascular surgeon went well. In fact it lasted about 5 minutes and he basically said that there was nothing to worry about as far as blockages in her veins go. So he didn't need to see her anymore.

Her blood level had barely changed though. She went from a 1.1 on friday to a 1.2 today. So they increased it again and we go back on Saturday for them to see if it has started working yet.


Now I'm off to the Pines for a drink or 5. See Y'all there!!

I'm glad the appointment with the surgeon went good! I hope her blood level gets regulated soon.

Work is busy this week, again, and I'm coming up to several school deadlines. But this will all pass soon and I hope to be around here more.
