Christmas Countdown - 2014

I almost forgot...we stopped in a town called Medicine Park yesterday. The town is built around a creek that flows through and there are a bunch of antique shops and stores around. Anyway, I found a snack stand called Santa's. I asked them why and the workers told me the fellow who owns it looks like Santa and plays Santa every year...he's a huge Christmas nut like all of us. Here are a few pics...

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be another beautiful day with a high of 77. I'm going to try and make it through the day without turning on the A/C, it's going to be pushing it though. Then rain moves in this evening. I have lots of stuff to get caught up on today. I've already got laundry going and should hit the dishes here soon. Then running the sweeper, mopping, and all of that other good stuff. All I really want to do is sit here though. It's been a busy past 3 days. So I guess we will see how much I really get done. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

Wow, I'm certainly gratified to see the sun shining this morning, it was such a wet weekend. My rain gauge is broken, but my uncle who lives nearby said he poured 4" out of his gauge Saturday afternoon.

We had a great Easter! I ate too much at mom's, the waaay too much at Nancy's parents'. We hid eggs for our nieces & nephews, then made it home in time to crash on the couch.

I hope everyone else had a super Easter, and I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

She didn't sleep well last night but she's hanging in there. She is so hyper sensitive to everything. Molly didn't act anything like this when she had her ear infection. Maggie was rolling all over the bed last night, she was so restless. Hopefully the medicine is helping. Thank you so much for asking!
Was your mom feeling any better this weekend?

Sorry Maggie had a bad night. Hope her ear heals up quickly.

Good morning! I have a really bad case of the "I don't want to go back to work today" blues!!! It's supposed to be a gorgeous day (75º) - ahhh, why didn't I take this day off?? Lol!!!

Gracie was hiding under our bed this morning - I drug her out from under there & she had the hiccups! She didn't eat this morning so I put her food in the cage with her. She was chowing it down as I was walking out the door for work when I heard her throw up! UGH! So I got that cleaned up & put a new towel in her cage for her & I was about 5 minutes late to work. Maybe it was just too much Easter candy?? Ha ha ha! (This made me think of LC :smile

Merry Monday! I quickly browsed through the posts and it looks like you all had a lovely Easter.

Ours was good. The children enjoyed their egg hunt around the house yesterday morning. They got so many eggs that they wanted to share some with the neighbour kids I am usually in work on Sundays so it was nice to be home. Mr. Festive made a delicious roast dinner while I did some craft with the kids. After we ate , the kids played out for a bit and then we all watched Hop.

Today is the last day of the 4 day weekend. Work and school resumes for Mr. Festive and my eldest tomorrow. My youngest and I will miss them being around. It has been such a wonderful holiday break. I have had a couple weeks without the school run so I am not looking forward to tomorrow morning

The days are lighter, longer and the weather milder. It sure does make a difference to one's mood and spirit!!

I hope you all have a fantastic start to the week!

Aww, that was sweet of the kids!!!! Glad you guys had a great holiday break!!! Hope you are enjoying the last little bit of it!!!!

I'm sure they didn't! My kids never nap and when they do, it's when I don't want them to...

No they didn't. We had to go play on the swing set, blow bubbles, and draw with sidewalk chalk.

My family should have came to your house. Where we went for dinner, they were running out of food and it wasn't very good, which it isn't typically like that there. My dad says we won't go back there again for Easter. Hopefully once we get the basement done, I can convince him to start having the holidays at my house.

[Christmas-A-Holic]

We had a wonderful Easter weekend! On Saturday we went for our morning walk at the Arboretum then Wayne and I went to pick up my dad for a trip to the historic Downtown McKinney, Texas. While looking around the shops, look what we saw! (Picture below). Don't you love discovering Christmas stuff in the spring??? It was a small section but a pleasant surprise! After that we went out for lunch. That night was our annual tradition of watching the 10 Commandments. Have it on DVD but it's a must to watch on TV! =)

Wayne and I went to Easter church service Sunday morning then headed to work just to feed the animals but we were closed for the day. We left from there to pick up my parents and treated them to Easter lunch. Came home and chilled out for the day.

My grandchildren were in Galveston, Texas for the weekend so I did not get to see them on Easter. They will be here today and I will give them their gifts then. They had a blast!!!
