Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

Wow, I'm certainly gratified to see the sun shining this morning, it was such a wet weekend. My rain gauge is broken, but my uncle who lives nearby said he poured 4" out of his gauge Saturday afternoon.

We had a great Easter! I ate too much at mom's, the waaay too much at Nancy's parents'. We hid eggs for our nieces & nephews, then made it home in time to crash on the couch.

I hope everyone else had a super Easter, and I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

I'm glad you had a great Easter with your family, have a wonderful day Brad!

They are starting to give away stuff and my grandmother told me she is giving me her Santa Claus collection. I was touched and it brought tears to my eyes, I am going to cherish that.

How special. I am sure you will really cherish the collection. Enjoy.

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be another beautiful day with a high of 77. I'm going to try and make it through the day without turning on the A/C, it's going to be pushing it though. Then rain moves in this evening. I have lots of stuff to get caught up on today. I've already got laundry going and should hit the dishes here soon. Then running the sweeper, mopping, and all of that other good stuff. All I really want to do is sit here though. It's been a busy past 3 days. So I guess we will see how much I really get done. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope you get caught up with everything and still have time to relax. Have a great day!

Sorry Maggie had a bad night. Hope her ear heals up quickly.

Have a great day, HMG!!!!! Good luck to your daughters at the ENT and shoe shopping!!!

Thanks Made!!!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend! On Saturday we went for our morning walk at the Arboretum then Wayne and I went to pick up my dad for a trip to the historic Downtown McKinney, Texas. While looking around the shops, look what we saw! (Picture below). Don't you love discovering Christmas stuff in the spring??? It was a small section but a pleasant surprise! After that we went out for lunch. That night was our annual tradition of watching the 10 Commandments. Have it on DVD but it's a must to watch on TV! =)

Wayne and I went to Easter church service Sunday morning then headed to work just to feed the animals but we were closed for the day. We left from there to pick up my parents and treated them to Easter lunch. Came home and chilled out for the day.

My grandchildren were in Galveston, Texas for the weekend so I did not get to see them on Easter. They will be here today and I will give them their gifts then. They had a blast!!!

I hope you all had a beautiful Easter weekend!!!

It is supposed to rain this week, but the weather has been wonderful this past week. If the guys could just get the roofing sheets on (plywood), but I don't think that will happen before it rains.

Sitting outside, reading a good book, watching the kids play, DH is working on the garden, and we're getting ready to have a picnic.

I just wanted to share a few things with y'all. A few weeks ago, I was at such a low in my life because of the pain and tiredness. I kept thinking that I would never get my energy back and I felt I would have to take meds for the pain forever. I felt sorry for myself and really almost lost it with a crying jag that I knew would not stop if it got started. I had to pick up my prescription of Arimidex yesterday and FINALLY read the info sheet of the side effects. You see, my oncologist had given me enough samples that I did not have to get the prescription yet. I am sure some of you know how extra, super, tiny the print is on the info sheet that comes with samples. I had hardly been able to read it, so I TOTALLY missed all the valuable info on the side effects. Yesterday, the info sheet that the pharmacist had printed out (in 12 point font) was large enough print that I could read. I found out that the pain and tiredness were included in the side effects. I am not going crazy!!! Now that there is an explanation, I feel so much better mentally. I joined a forum with others who are going through the same thing. I must admit that I am lucky in one respect: the other ladies have awful hot flashes. I have never had one, even during my menopause years; knock on wood!!! The side effects normally get progressively worse, but at least now I know what to expect. If I can keep the pain under control with meds, then I know I can get through this! You cannot believe what a burden has been lifted.

She didn't sleep well last night but she's hanging in there. She is so hyper sensitive to everything. Molly didn't act anything like this when she had her ear infection. Maggie was rolling all over the bed last night, she was so restless. Hopefully the medicine is helping. Thank you so much for asking!
Was your mom feeling any better this weekend?

Sorry to hear that, HmG~
Hope the medicine licks in quickly for her <3
Please give Maggie a hug for me!

Mom is doing better, still in pain & having trouble getting around, but improving slowly. She has a chiropractic & physical therapy appointments today, so hope they help! Thanks for asking.

xx

Good morning!
It's another chilly morning with temperatures in the mid 30's, we will have a high of 55 today.
Typical Monday, spring break is over and everyone is back to school and work. I need to run a couple of quick errands and get started on daily chores. I'm making chicken tortilla soup for dinner and I just realized the recipe calls for lime juice, so I need to pick up a couple of limes at the supermarket. I swear I'm in there practically every day for something I forgot to buy! My oldest has a follow up appointment with the ENT later this morning. And I need to take my youngest shopping again this afternoon for prom shoes. We went the other day but didn't find anything that she liked. The gown came in and she is scheduled to have alterations this Thursday so we need the shoes!
That's about it for me, I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!

Mmm!! I love chicken tortilla soup!
Hope your oldest's appointment goes well today. And hope your youngest can find some prom shoes!

Have a wonderful day!!

Good morning! I have a really bad case of the "I don't want to go back to work today" blues!!! It's supposed to be a gorgeous day (75º) - ahhh, why didn't I take this day off?? Lol!!!

Gracie was hiding under our bed this morning - I drug her out from under there & she had the hiccups! She didn't eat this morning so I put her food in the cage with her. She was chowing it down as I was walking out the door for work when I heard her throw up! UGH! So I got that cleaned up & put a new towel in her cage for her & I was about 5 minutes late to work. Maybe it was just too much Easter candy?? Ha ha ha! (This made me think of LC )

Hope you all have a Wonderful Monday!!!

I know! It's beautiful here, 74 degrees right now!

Hope Gracie is feeling better, friend. Please give her a hug for me!

=)

On a side note - my sisters shredded ham was delicious yesterday! It almost tasted like bbq beef! Everyone liked it & asked for the recipe.

I am so sorry you have been dealing with this! I know you and I have chatted quite a bit about fatigue but mine is far different since I am not on any medication and I do no suffer from pain but that fatigue is just awful! I am glad you found the answer!!! Sorry that it got you down like that. What a helpless feeling! Big hugs from all of us!!!
