Me, too. I have to have a cool house and pile of blankets!

During the winter I go many nights without running the heat or have it set at no higher than 64 degrees. I love it cold!!! =)

I wonder if Carl has a cure for the common cold ?
Or maybe just something that will make you feel like the cold is a nice thing to have?
I had to stay home from work today, did not think customers would want their cashier to cough all over their groceries.
I am cooking a big pot of chicken soup, put some garlic in it and the house is smelling really good now.

that is easy to do when you do not get temps down to -40c. Here all our pipes and people would freeze solid.
So glad it is getting warmer! That said I am not a fan of super hot either, which is why I like spring and fall the best.

Good morning MMC! Happy Hump/Pines Day!!! I'm running behind this morning so I'm sure I have a lot of catching up to day! :smile: I had to take Mom to an eye doc apt this morning. She is having cataract surgery in May & we went to get all her instructions this morning. I DID NOT want to come into work after that. It's such a beautiful, though chilly, sunshiny day!!!

Last night I worked on getting Gracie's wireless fence marked off & I took her for a walk...then went for a 3 mile walk myself! We had leftovers for supper - pretty relaxing night.

Ok, I'm off to read posts. Hope you are all having a great day!!!

I hope you recover soon. I hate colds especially this time of year....well anytime of the year. I have been craving chicken soup recently., I hope it helps you feel better. If you can stomach it , add a bit of chilli in there. Chilli is great for fighting colds.

Prayers that your mum's surgery goes smoothly and she recovers quickly. I hope it goes quickly for you at work and you get to enjoy a little time outdoors in the nice weather. I bet Gracie will love the freedom outside especially as summer is approaching.

Evening all, just popping in as I don't get to say goodnight

I am just making dinner. A quick pasta dish tonight. The kids are washing bottles and cans for recycling. Which means bath time will soon follow as my toddler is involved so you can just imagine water and suds everywhere........

My mum emailed me a photo of Miley (the cat) wearing her custom size Easter bonnet. I just have to post this photo on here for you all to see when I get a chance LOL.

Good Morning, MMC!!!! It's going to be another beautiful day here with a high in the mid 60's. I've been working on getting my cleaning done all morning. I figured I better knock it out before I got on here in case I get distracted like I did yesterday. I just have a few quick things left to do. I also need to work on figuring out what kind of cake I want to make to donate to my niece's cake walk at their school festival Friday night. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you going camping Made? Hope you all have a good time! Is it a campsite with other campers around or is it just out in the wilderness?

Yep, I'm going to meet some friends next weekend. I'm actually going to be staying in some type of cabin that my friend picked. It was just going to be to hard to take a tent and sleeping bag with me on the 13 hour bus ride that it's going to take to get there.


Plus it will offer more protection from those wild animals that may look at me as one big juicy treat!!!

Good Morning, It's-Mid-Week-Once-Again Friends!

And mid-week can only mean one thing (and by now we all know what that is).

But here's something you might not know but will be glad you found out about:
Days to the Season: 204
Days to Christmas Day: 246

Now, just under half a week from the the 1/3 Christmas Day marker and barely over half a week short of the the 200-day Season Window.
(These double-day Milestones really give me a chill -- in a nice way, of course!)


But what was not chilly yesterday was our fantastic weather. The predicted rain did not develop and mild temps continued with just enough breeze to make it interesting. The pollen fall has begun to diminish, too.
Currently, we record 57 degrees here in the capital city.


Have a Wonderful Wednesday and a Perfect 'Pines Day visit this evening!

(Right after Carl's pre-Easter bash, it's likely to be low key, but bear in mind that "low key" to him may not meet our definition of the term.)

Good afternoon everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter. :] Mine was quiet. I went to the church in the morning and had some lunch with few friends in the late afternoon. It was nice though.

Also, I received my shift timetable at the Commonwealth Games last night. I must say that I will be working quite a lot but that's perfectly okey with me because it means I will definitely get the most out of my volunteering there.

I only have few more days left before I start my exam revision. I hope to get my inspiration back and write a generous chunk for the novel. (It's been quite lately in terms of writing.)

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Well, the grass didn't get cut yesterday. A thunderstorm popped up out on nowhere and brought another 1.5" of rain. That Jacob has the luck of the Irish!

Since the grass was then too wet to cut, I grabbed a socket wrench and went out replacing stop signs that have faded. I bet that's what the mayor of New York City does when he has a spare few minutes, don't you? :wink:

LOL!!!!! I'm sure he does that right after he gets done clearing the blocked sewer lines!!!!

Temps will be up to 86 today so time to open up the house again and air it out! I am trying real hard NOT to run the air conditioner during the day. I am not looking forward to the outrageous electric bills the summer will bring us!

I have to run it at night when it's warm or I just cannot sleep.

Boo!!!! Hope the real warm temps hold off for a little bit longer.
