(Now just let that sink in. Then realize that's barely over 2 weeks away!!)





OK.

The severe weather system that was to our south and west is set to move in here. Hopefully, it will be of reduced velocity. Lots of rain in the forecast for the next couple of days, however. (Just in time for our trip to the coast!)

For now, we record 54 degrees on our back door thermometer.

I am not looking like that dancing cat that I posted! I put on some music, tried to get some stuff done and collapsed! I am just sitting here on the couch and have zero energy! My granddaughter is "cooking" for me and told me to rest that she will take care of the house. Ha ha! I wish I could go to sleep but not doing that with a little one running around! She is hanging out with me in the living room while I sit here for just a few minutes. I think the last few days have caught up with me. We were on the go from 7 am - 7 pm Saturday dealing with hot weather getting sunburned, worked really hard all day Sunday, out in the heat and lots of walking yesterday. I just feel wiped out! I don't plan to lay here much longer, I really need to get up and get busy with some chores and have some fun with my granddaughter.

Santa Alert!!!

Just as I typed this my granddaughter picked up a picture she drew and asked to send it to Santa Claus! I love her way of thinking during the month of April! I am about to grab an envelope and get it in the mail for her! =)

Smart girl! She's making sure she stays on Santa's mind throughout the year...not that that was ever in jeopardy! cheesy

This is exactly why I don't sweat the small stuff in life! Great attitude you have, Coach!!!!

Recently our refrigerator broke down, the landlord brought us another one and I told Wayne that I don't like it as well as the other. (Hard to explain but we all complained about the shelves and not having enough space and they are flimsy! Stuff slides off of them. Weird!). Then I quickly changed my attitude and said, "At least we have a refrigerator with FOOD and a roof over our heads! Hey, I love my refrigerator!!! Thank God we are eating! It's just a refrigerator!!!! This is just an example but I try to do that with everything in life! I laugh off the little things in life and I appreciate the small things in life as well!

If you or a loved one is not seriously hurt physically or emotionally you have to be thankful and you have to laugh!!!

I have been through a few rough patches in my life (haven't we all?) but smiling and moving on! Life is good!!!

I just had my coffee while sitting on the porch with the kitties. The weather feels nice and cool right now. I need to get some things done around the house today. I am going to blast some music and dance around the house with my granddaughter while getting my chores done!

getting better thanks, still a cough but that is getting less and now actually have energy again. Going into work tomorrow so will see how that goes.

Good Morning, MMC!!! It's a beautiful morning here in central Indy but the chance of more strong storms exists for today. I have a few more things to do to get ready for my trip today. I also need to finish up the laundry I didn't get done yesterday. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!

Good morning!
We are expecting showers today with a high of 50 degrees. Lots more rain heading our way tomorrow.
Typical day here. I already went to the supermarket this morning. Love going early, it was empty. I still have to run to Target for a few things then back home for daily chores.
My husband told me he was determined to have the kitchen cabinets installed by May 11th (our anniversary) Well that's not going to happen. Way to get my hopes up! The finisher told him he will have the cabinets for a few weeks. Oh well. Whats a few more weeks at this point. Sigh. Hubby better plan something good on our anniversary to make up for it!

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Elizabeth is still awfully sick. It's not the flu, but she's coughing & sneezing & wheezing terribly. The doctor prescribed antibiotics, steroids and an inhaler. The poor thing came to our room at 4am coughing, bless her heart. I wish I could bear that sickness for her. :-(

We're planning to go to our nephew's T-ball game this afternoon, but it looks like that bad weather is coming our way, too. I don't think it's supposed to be as bad by the time it gets here, though. Our corporate office is in Birmingham, and as a result I have a lot of friends in that area. They said it got pretty rough, but I don't know anyone who had any damage to speak of.

Worrying about all of you in the Southland. I heard that more severe weather is due today. Check in when you can and let us know that you're okay! It was so upsetting to read about the town that had just recovered, and got hit again. So tragic to lose everything, then to lose everything a second time. As CAH mentioned, it's a good reason to count your blessings if you have a roof over your head and are safe.



Rough day at work yesterday---got out of the office at 9:15 p.m., and worked all day with a headache and ringing in my ears. Better this morning.

Molly and Maggie are doing pretty good. Thankfully Maggie has been sleeping better at night. I'm giving her the cough suppressant before bed time and it seems to be helping!
