Good Morning!

I am behind on here. It's been a little stressful for me this week but didn't want to drag you all down. It's all good now so I will share!!!

My dad has been sick since Sunday and had me worried like crazy! First of all he has a mild form of leukemia for 10 years now. It's been in remission but his bloodwork remains permanently off the charts and will never be normal. He is stable but if he gets ill with anything including a simple cold can be serious for him. That is all he has had this week is a cold but has knocked him way down. I would get so upset when I call to check on him and he could barely talk. He is such a cheerful man all the time and this week hasn't sounded that way. He even comes over everyday to use our computer but hasn't came by this week from being so sick. I called him a little bit ago and he sounded great and feeling better. He plans to come over today! I love my dad so much! I hate to see him sick, just like with anyone on here feels about their parents.

It did put a smile on my face when I called one day and my mom said he is watching The Three Stooges! He loves laughter and laughter is the best medicine!

Please pray that he continues getting stronger everyday!

The Bee is over, and Elizabeth placed 4th out of 20, while Jacob bombed his first word. He went in bragging about not needing to refresh his mind with the list of words and blew it with "hallelujah". To tell the truth, I'd probably have to look that one up, too.

My co-worker that was in the motorcycle accident had one of several surgeries to come. Several of the vertebrae in his neck were broken, along with several ribs and a shattered arm. He also damaged an artery in his neck and has several blood clots forming as a result of all this trauma. The doctors did a surgery to try to stabilize the broken vertebrae in his neck, screwing plates across each one on the "front side" of his neck. When he's recovered form that surgery, they are going to do the same thing on the back side on his neck. Currently, he can't feel his hands or fingers, so they are hoping that fusing his neck will help with that.

Very long night at work, my best employee is going to be out for a little bit of time, she tripped at a concert over the weekend and they think she broke her leg. We are still waiting to hear from her about it. So now we will have to pick up the slack.



Back first thing in the a.m. I set it up well for myself so it should be a easy morning. Tomorrow after work I am taking JP to see the Red Sox 2013 World Series Championship trophy, the Sox tour it around New England to celebrate with fans and our town is tomorrow. I had a chance 20 years ago to see the Stanley Cup, but didn't go, I have regretted that since, I don't want to miss this chance.

You are right!!!

I think I was afraid I would break down and cry when I started typing the prayer request. It was just a cold but that's all it takes for him to become serious.

A few days after Thanksgiving he became ill with the flu. My mom had gone to the store and when she came back she found him in the floor. He was too weak to get up and was there for half hour. It worries me so much!

When he feels good he is on the go! He is not laid up or anything from the leukemia. It just scares me that one day he will be laid up from it just from a simple illness.

Thanks for the reminder to ask for prayers!!! I need to do just that!

Fortunately, the humidity has yet to descend so it was quite pleasant all in all.

Right now, we have commenced this fine Weekend Eve at 68 degrees here in the capital city.

TGIF, my Christmas friends!

We went last night to Elizabeth's dress rehearsal for her ballet recital (Spring Showcase, as they call it), then out to find Mother's Day gifts for my mom and Nancy's mom. I still have to sneak away with Jacob & Elizabeth to get Nancy something.

Elizabeth's recital is tonight, and I'm sure we'll go out for Japanese (her go-to splurge meal) afterwards.

If it doesn't rain this weekend, I plan to cut the grass tomorrow.

Thanks for that, too. He had his first spinal surgery yesterday, with another to come soon. Hopefully, he can regain sensation in his arms & hands. He still has a long way to go.

Good morning!
We are expecting more rain today with temperatures in the mid 50's.
Not too much going on for me, I need to run to the mall this morning for one more Mother's Day gift. Other than that it will be a typical day of errands and chores. The alterations on my daughters prom dress are finished so we will be heading there later this afternoon. I'm so nervous, I'm praying the dress looks beautiful!
