Wow!!!! Where does the time go??? Did you guys also realize, that in about 36 days or so, it will be the longest day of the year and then, get this, the days will start to get shorter, as we will start to lose time every day....

Good Morning, MMC!!!! It's going to be a cooler rainy day here in central Indy with a high around 64. Not a whole lot on the agenda for today. Just my normal chores and then mom has a doctor's appointment this afternoon. Besides that, I'm going to try and catch a Christmas movie or something to help brighten this dreary day. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!

Good Morning, MMC!!!! It's going to be a cooler rainy day here in central Indy with a high around 64. Not a whole lot on the agenda for today. Just my normal chores and then mom has a doctor's appointment this afternoon. Besides that, I'm going to try and catch a Christmas movie or something to help brighten this dreary day. Good Wednesday (Pinesday!) morning, my Christmas friends!

We had Honors Day ceremonies last night, and the kids received several awards. They were so proud of themselves, and so was I! The teacher (Susan) who did most of the speaking is actually a girl I graduated HS with, and she was telling the parents that they should feel free to come down front to take pictures when their kids' names are called. When they called Elizabeth, Nancy said "Go get the picture!" So I stood up and took a step forward, then she said "Never mind, don't go!", so I squatted down...but it was too late. Susan called out "Come on down, Brad!" I said something stupid (in front of all those people!) like, "Nancy made me do it!" Susan said, "yeah, it's always the woman's fault, eh?" It got a big laugh. I was red all over...LOL.

Guitar lessons and ballet lessons this afternoon. Always something.

Just curious but when do kids start summer holidays where you are?? How long do they get? Here they get five weeks from end of July to end of August.

Also when does the sun rise and set in the summer where you are. For us in peak summer it starts getting light just after 4am and goes dark around 10pm.

What about you all?????

Monday, May 19th is the last day of school here, and it starts back August 8th, I think.

She proud momma had 7 kittens......one was stillborn and is with our Christmas Angel Louann now!

Here in New England, the schools let out around the beginning to middle of June (some are letting out pretty late this year because the students had so many snow days to make up). They go back in session in late August, near Labor Day (first Monday in September). In late June and early July, it's not quite dark by 9 p.m. I remember back home in Maryland the fireflies came out just after 9 p.m.

Last day of classes here are June 27th. The kids have off July & August and head back the first week of September.
During the summer the sun rises about 6:00am and sets around 9:00pm.

Good morning!
It's going to be mostly cloudy today with temperatures in the lower 60's.
Typical day for me. I have some chores to do around the house and then I'll be heading out to run a couple of errands, including a trip to Target. My youngest also has a dentist appointment later this afternoon, just a routine cleaning. And If I have time I would like to take a ride to Hallmark to look for invitations for my daughters graduation party. Not too much else going on.
I hope everyone is well and has a great day!

Oh my! 10 pm sunset??? I already don't like our 9 pm sunset! I don't like the idea of daylight still out when I am trying to go to bed! Some like it getting dark late, I prefer it 6-7 pm, not 9 pm!

Here in North Texas schools let out here late May or early June and they do not return until mid to late August. It seems to change every year here. Each state is different too.

The kids here usually get out around the 3rd week of may. This year they are going until the start of the June though because of all of the snow days. then they will go back the first week of August.

We usually start getting light out about 5:30 to 6am and the sun sets around 9:30 pm or so during the longest days of summer.

LOL!!!!! I enjoy it for awhile. More time to sit out on the porch without having to worry about skunks sneaking up on us!!!!
