Yes, it's all in your mindset. We saw it in a theater next to the woods. Then went for a hike afterwards!

Back then, they marketed it out to be real. And you didn't know for sure if it was! I thought it was all so smart of them. And I loved how they brought a witch into it as the "monster". That hadn't been done in awhile. I think it also kind of began the whole "found footage" genre.

They each took a whole back pack full of toys and games so hopefully that's enough!!!! It's no guarantee with Katie though. She gets bored quick.

Just got back from the doc's, received a clean bill of health. He said my blood pressure is the best he's seen in me for over 15 years; 120 over 78...It's the new house and all the fresh country air~

Hmmmmm, not sure what to do.....I just walked by the kitchen table, and there are still about six doughnuts left! Coffee and a doughnut sure sounds good right about now!!!

That movie terrified me!! The hype around it was so cool, they were brilliant in marketing it.

There's a bit of backstory on that, too. Due to the hype about the movie, tourists started to tramp all over Burkittsville looking for signs of the witch (who didn't exist---the "legend" was invented for the movie). It annoyed the dickens out of the town residents, although some made a few bucks selling stick figures like those in the movie. There was a lot a vandalism, and signs were stolen. Here's more about it.

But the story I love is this: The residents knew that tons of tourists would probably descend on the annual firemen's carnival, so they invented an awful sandwich and dubbed it the Burwich, knowing the goombahs would buy anything associated with the Blair Witch! A newspaper article related, "The Burwich loads a hamburger, country ham and fried egg on a Kaiser roll, then finishes it off with horseradish for 'the witch's bite.'"

We have a small town that I go through on my drive back home, called Blair. A lot of people take their picture in from of it, saying they're hunting for the witch. Wrong state!

Well my sister made it into Seattle okay. She said my niece's were so good on the plane that it scared her. So I guess my whole little talk with them about how they give bad kids parachutes and throw them out the door worked. :lol:

I helped my neighbor look up the value of all of the old coins he had laying around too. I also wrote on the bags what country they are from since he had no clue on most of them and I had to use the internet to figure it out.
