Well, maybe not so good. The area where our cottage is took a near direct hit from Hurricane Arthur last night. We will be following up to check on damage.

Days to Christmas Day: 174

TOMORROW will see us down to SINGLE DIGITS to the two-thirds Milestone to Christmas Season 2014.

Well, for all the stormy weather at the coast, it's been pretty mild here.
Had a brief hard wind yesterday afternoon that brought down some pine cones and small branches but all in all, not bad.
We have started our Independence Day holiday at 74 degrees here in the capital city.

At work, well in the parking lot, got 10min yet before I start. Work till 4:30 then heading out to camp David for a BBQ and swim ( if it warns up before then)

Hey y'all! Happy 4th of July! We are going to sis-in-law's house for a big family gathering (about 60 people). Going to be a lot of fun. I love going to these big family cookouts because of the family atmosphere and I usually win money playing horseshoes. Gonna be a good day.

I can't begin to say how excited I was to see the Christmas Card Exchange posted. Just another sign that things are about to start coming at us! I was in Sam's yesterday and saw the some stuff out (ribbon, etc). However, in the next few days or so we will make our first trip to Hobby Lobby since about the middle of December last year to see what's out! I can hardly wait!

Bambina's doctor appointment went well...growing like a weed.

About to go read the rest of the boards....yall take care and be safe!

Happy 4th of July!!!! The storm has now cleared us and we have bright sunny skies with cooler temps; it's 68 degrees outside right now....

I'm just getting ready to have some breakfast, scrambled eggs with cheese, scrapple (IE..., in the old time days, they would call it head cheese....), bagles and coffee... Then I'm heading outside to cut firewood for awhile...

Talk to ya all in a little while~

Yes, I got a little excited when they skipped the Sousa, because the Boston Pops have a tradition of ending EVERY July Fourth concert with "Stars and Stripes Forever." This year they set off the fireworks early, because of the storm approaching, then ran tape of last year's "1812 Overture," then rolled the credits. I thought they would at least run tape of last year's SASF, but instead they cut to a breaking news update about evacuating the Esplanade due to the storm. We'll have plenty of Sousa here today to make up for it.
