Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good night, all ... Hope you will have a wonderful Saturday!
 
Good Morning, Folks.

Wow!
Quick as a cat can wink its eye, the Weekend is back again.
(Boy! These weeks pass so fast. We are rushing head-long towards yet another Chrismas Season.)

The numbers:
Days to the Season: 131
Days to Christmas Day: 173

And so it comes -- SINGLE DIGITS to the 2/3 marker to the Season.
<< Just like that, Crown? >>
Just like that.


Hey! We had a nice Fourth!
The weather cooperated with no rain and lower temps and humidity.
Didn't get out to any fireworks around here but watched the TV programs.

"A Capital Fourth" was better than usual I felt, although there were still too may songs that had nothing to do with Independence Day.
(But then, I'm a purist.)
Well, we are off to the coast to confirm (hopefully) that there has been no damage to speak of at our cottage.


See you here Monday morning and in the meantime, you have a Sensational Saturday and a reeeeeel nice Weekend, OK?

It was one of those days that what could go wrong did go wrong for a good portion. Getting woken up early because of the boys slamming their doors, the bottom of my grill just collapsing while warming up with a group of hungry people here. We were able to get it to cook, but I now need a new grill to replace my grill that is all of 3 years old! It did hold off raining through the parade, but it did start pouring on the walk home. I do work in the morning, I am sure it is going to be a rough day.

I am exhausted tonight, I will retire for the evening.

Molly & Maggie did pretty good. The A/C was running and I had a fan on too for some white noise. Molly jumped up a few times but I talked her through it, lol.
How did Harlowe do with the fireworks?

Good morning!
It rained here most of the day yesterday. It finally cleared up later in the evening when the sun was setting, just in time for people to light off their fireworks. I'm kind of dragging my feet this morning but I have to get moving soon. I have to do a big food shopping, I have nothing in the house. Hopefully I'll be able to rest for a little while before we head to my in-laws later this afternoon for a barbecue. I've been so tired lately. I don't plan on staying there too late anyway. I would like to get back here for the dogs, I'm sure there will be lots of fireworks going off again this evening.
