Good evening,

Long night here, the three of us guys got "kicked" out if the house for a few hours so my wife could have a Lia Sophia Jewelry party. I took the boys out for some mini-golf and ice cream to get away from the estrogen-fest. cheesy
Day off tomorrow, I will be visiting my grandmother. She wants to give me her Santa collection tomorrow, it is truly bittersweet. I would rather have her keep them, but she wants to be sure I get them now. I am struggling with this whole situation.

I am still feeling lousy, but a little better than I have been, the long day at work and then taking the boys out wiped me out.

Coach- One of the people I follow on twitter posted this today. I think it does a good job of showing how hard it would have been for Tony to even see Kevin.

It does. I'm just struggling with the whole thing. These guys have got to quit getting out of their car and going down into traffic. Whether Tony did it on purpose or not, I don't understand why he keeps dirt-track racing. I know he likes to race, but it just doesn't make sense to me...here's why:

He's Tony Stewart....3-time champion....he has nothing to prove. When he goes to those dirt tracks, he's the one everybody is gunning for...the proverbial "feather in the cap". He does it because he loves it,but when he shows....the guys there do it to show him up. If he gets into it with someone, they would love nothing more than to be able to tell their friends they showed Tony Stewart, three-time champion.

I just think he is making himself a target. Wanna race? Race the trucks, race Nationwide....

Do I think he did it on purpose? Nope. But he is also a professional athlete competing in amateur racing. Anytime athletes play down, it's asking for trouble. But that's just my two cents...

Yes, it's bittersweet. But I think it will be a comfort for her to know that you have them safely in your hands because you will truly cherish them. Think of it that way.

I know how you feel, Xmas. When I went back to NC just before my mom died, she wanted me to pick out two pieces of jewelry and anything else I wanted. I chose her pearls and an emerald and diamond ring (My birthstone is an emerald.). I also chose a "community" cookbook that my mom used a lot. When I arrived back to California, I found several of her hand-written recipes. Precious memories and precious mementoes!

battery in my van has run out of power, at least I hope that is what it is. It is only 2 years old and has a three year warranty, only I lost the receipt. So I am going to the store tomorrow to see it they will be gracious enough to replace it anyway.

I feel for both of you! I have been without a kitchen since January, but Hubby is making progress. He just got the roof on the new part with some more roofing to do on the old part. We hoped to be in by Thanksgiving, but delays will probably push it to Easter. I am positive it will be worth it, though!

I feel your pain. I have been w/o a kitchen sink since last week Tuesday. Not fun. If I had a dollar for every time I went to the (non) kitchen sink to wash my hands... :lol: Now I don't have a bathroom sink either, so I'm down to using the bath tub - on the main floor.

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! It's a decent day here with a high of 82 predicted today. There are some scattered storms around but so far they have missed us like they did all weekend. Of course, as soon as I type that, I hear thunder outside. LOL!!!!! My apartment got trashed over the weekend so I'm spending my day just getting it presentable again. I've been working all morning and I still have quite a bit to go. So I better get back to it. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

I envy your rain, at least as far as the drought here is concerned. Our rainy season is normally in the winter, so Hubby is working to get all the outside work completed on the house!
