Thanks for the prayers for mom everyone!!! The biopsy's they did tuesday came back clean and while the ultrasound today showed a few things they don't like, it's not worth the risk of doing anything about because of her history of strokes. So for now, they are just going to watch unless things get worse.

I've heard the same thing. I am at the very end of the line and the signal gets to weak by the time it reaches me sometimes and I start losing tv channels. Luckily it's never effected my phone or internet yet. I installed a signal booster to help with it but it still happens sometimes.

Grrr! Hope it's fixed soon!

Thanks, I was told it should be resolved within 48 hours. We'll see, fingers crossed.

My wife & I had our planned date night tonight, we were originally going to cancel it but we changed our minds. We needed to get out without the boys, and get ready for this rough weekend.

I do want to say that I may be scarce for the next 4-5 days with family coming in and everything else that goes on with the funeral. I will try to pop in at least once a day.

I hope everyone is doing well!

Finally was able to get rid of some stuff out of the freezer ~ today was trash pick-up day in the neighborhood. The odd thing is that a lot of stuff is still frozen solid ~ remarkable. It is going on over 4 days and it isn't messy at all! Yay!

I have been binge-watching Season One of Ally McBeal. I saw bits and pieces of a few of the episodes as one of my college roommates would watch the show religiously every Monday night, but overall it is new to me. I'm really liking it. I have the Ally McBeal Christmas CD, which I absolutely love (a few of the songs made it on the hours I did for Santa Tracking last year!), so when I saw the first two seasons at a garage sale a few years ago, I had to have them. Anyhow, after a few chores and washing the clay mask I forgot I had on off my face, I will be watching a few more episodes.

I just wanted to let you know that my grandma passed away this morning at 1am.
I thank you all for your support and prayers, it has been and will be needed over the next few days.

Prayers please. I can only post this on MMC because Joshua does not want Tiffany or Benjamin to find out yet, and they both post on Facebook. He needs time to get ready for treatments and wants to concentrate on making arrangements and dealing with his own emotions. Tiff gets quite emotional, sometimes overly so. Joshua met with his oncologist today. Without chemo, he may have up to six months. With chemo, he may have up to 22 months. If you have a prayer list or prayer chain at your church or in your community, please put Joshua Zink's name (and Melissa's too) on it. I believe in prayer and in an all-powerful God. And I truly need physical, emotional, and mental strength.

You are right about how this can be bittersweet. The beginning of school marks a major milestone and makes us realize how fast those little guys are growing. It really hits home with me right now.

Yesterday was bitter sweet. I had all my grandchildren over yesterday for the last time this summer. Their dad is off work for a few days and they start school on Monday. I will miss not having them all the time but then again this will be a chance to catch up on things around the house.

My mom treated us all to Mexican food yesterday so we all enjoyed a big lunch and had a great time. I felt a lot better yesterday and had a good appetite.

It's not like I will never see the kids again! I will be keeping them after school until their parents get off work. I will just miss not being able to do the fun things like we have been doing all summer long. They will get vacation days and we always have our special Christmas outing each year with each child.

When did Gardner Webb become a university?

Good morning everyone. Just saw the Old Farmers Almanac forecast for the upcoming winter. We live in the far west of NC. Only about 5 miles from the TN line, (as the crow flies). I sure hope their forecast is right for us. They are calling for much below norm temps and slightly above normal snow. That would be a perfect winter, cold & snow. Here is a link to their forecast.
