Christmas Countdown - 2014

Well, this time she ate my new cookbook! :lol: She chewed off some of the curly "spine" - little booger!!!! She also got some ham off the counter AND snitched a Holiday Bacon Appetizer! We really have to watch her now!!!







It was a fun weekend! Looking forward to the longer holiday weekend again this weekend! :grin:







LOVE THEM!!!! It looks amazing! Love the puppy popping out of the leaves. Tee hee! So cute!

[Holiday]

Good morning MMC! Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone had a great weekend & a great Monday. I would love to catch up on all the posts since Friday afternoon, but we'll see how the day goes! :smile:

Our new room is pretty much enclosed now. Windows are supposed to be delivered today! YAY! It was amazing how fast everything went up yesterday. Love it!!! Now keeping my fingers crossed for no rain over the next few days!! 60% chance tonight though. Hmmmm! The crawlspace is dry, but the thin layer of mud on the bottom is all curling up. Looks pretty funky. Will have to clean it up w/ a shop vac. Moving right along now!

I posted it last night. I looked all over trying to find how to order them and finally found on their facebook page that they are only available in the digital format in the USA.

I love you're stories and love to hear how you spend you're time with them. You're grandkids I'm sure feel very loved!

We went to "Meet the Teacher" night, last night and that was hard on the both of us, but DH and I both going to be one of the main volunteers in her classroom and I think we are going to volunteer to be the "Head Homeroom" parent (which will help out the teacher with various things when needed), unless someone beats us to it. Sadly, she announced to us last night, she was diagnosed with breast cancer last week. How sad. She had the sub teacher there last night, but not only do we want to be there for EA, but DH and I want to be there to help when needed to for the teacher's sake. She's is going to need it too.

How awesome that you can help out. Sorry to hear about her teaching. Sending up thoughts & prayers.

I didn't see it - glad I missed. My mom is taking the kids to a special airing of "Frozen" tonight and there is going to be the characters and everything. The kids will be very surprised! They then will be having a sleepover.

I bet they had a BLAST!!!!

Forgot to tell you - the last few days have been hot & very humid here! Yesterday at the grocery store, I mentioned to the carry out man how it was a hot one yesterday. He then reminded me of the snow coming next month! EEK! Really??? LOL! We don't have to go THAT extreme!!! :lol: He felt pretty confident in the Famers Almanac prediction. He said it was snowing in Montana (where his friend lives) on Sunday.

Good evening,

My sister came in from North Carolina today, it has been nice to see her. We have heard from one of my aunts, it is like WWE with them dealing with everything. Nothing like a death to divide a family. It is crazy what is going on. They were already "looting" my grandparents house before she passed. I think that is why my grandmother wanted to give me the Santas before she passed, so I wouldn't have to deal with them.

I called work and talked to them about bereavement, and it looks like I won't be heading back to work until next Thursday with the way it works out. We have tomorrow as a family day, then the tough days begin Sunday.

So sorry you are going through this. How sad. I've been thinking about you - keeping you in my prayers! Nice that you can be off work until Thursday - if only it were for better reasons. Take care.

Good evening,

Finally done catching up.

Everything is done, today was a very tough day, once again a lot of tears were shed. We said our goodbyes, and celebrated her life. I am going to miss her immensely.

We drove my sister to the airport, she is back home in NC. It is tough, because we don't know the next time we will see her again.

I'll be off for the next two days as part of my bereavement time, I have been crying out of the blue often.

I did get a nice picture with my father and grandpa today, I don't have a lot with my grandma so I wanted one with them. The 3 of us have the same name, and I am the IV.
