Morning All!

Well my son is back at school today and we are back into routine. More Halloween stuff was out in one of the shops! I have already seen something I want lol.

I started buying for the children's Christmas Eve goody bag! I always pick up little things here and there and this morning I bought the first! So excited about it! lol

Hey are many of you in the card exchange?? Also I was wondering do you know when the deadline is for signing up??

Good morning, everyone!

Happy 'Pines Day! It is our first of September. Woohoo! It is a beautiful one in Ottawa. Plenty of sun and clear skies. Unfortunately, I am stuck indoors without any windows. Darn passport office.

Tonight should be a busy night, I have a big game to play - it will actually be broadcast for our local cable station. We shall sew how it goes.

Kim is heading back to her hometown of Cornwall tonight. Her best friend is getting married on Saturday. Kim is the maid of honour. It should be a great time.

Well, break is over. Back to work... have I mentioned that I can't wait to get back to teaching?!

Happy Pines day MMC. Still looking for the cooler Sept weather. It is hotter now than it was in July. Saw an adult copperhead near the house yesterday evening but he got away into some rocks before I could kill him. This is the time of year we see a lot of snakes. I killed 2 copperheads in early Sept last year.

Looking forward to the weekend. Our son is coming home to see our local high school's first home football game. HS football is a big deal here. We only have 1 HS in the county. Most of the locals, that are able, go to all the games. We're the smallest school in our conference with only about 300 students in grades 9-12.

The one thing our county is famous for is the reality TV show "Moonshiners" on the Discovery Channel. "Jim Tom" is now a celebrity. Kinda funny that a dry county is now know for making moonshine. I don't care for show but a lot of folds do.

Good morning MMC! Not much going on around here today! Usually Wednesday is my slow day at work - makes for a long day! BUT at least it's Wednesday & not Tuesday as I originally thought! I was worried if Tuesday was this slow, what was Wednesday going to be like?? :lol:



My hubby picked corn from the garden last night - 2 coolers full + a 5 gallon bucket full...looks like I'll be putting up corn tonight! Oh goody! (it's worth it though!)

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's a bit cooler today, and they're even forcasting a high of 90° for Friday...yay! That's practically sweater weather for us in September! And hunting season starts Saturday...yay again!

I think Nancy and I have decided to go on a weekend trip to the mountains in October for our 20th anniversary. We were married in November, but it's too busy that time of year to get away for a whole weekend.

We'll see if she's really willing to leave the kids behind for 2 whole days, though. LOL

Speaking of Music Choice, I am listening to the Sounds of the Season:Christmas In July. I recorded on my DVR back when it was originally on, I just needed some Christmas music on since there is nothing on TV right now.



I will be leaving for work in 20inutes, I don't want to go, and my job search has seemingly dried up at the moment. I will push through it, hopefully something will turn up soon.

The meet & greet went well, thanks! The kids are adorable. Although I could tell that there are one or two that are going to give me a run for my money, lol. Classes start tomorrow, I'll let you know how it goes!
