Well the storms have passed trough down at the Jersey Shore and we are sitting a cool 75. The fall weather has arrived and is (hopefully) here to stay!

Spending the night tonight at a friends house in Seaside Heights. It's the perfect time to visit this town because all the summer crowds have cleared out - it's eerily quiet for a Saturday night. It's great to see Seaside so well rebuilt after Sandy 2 years ago. It was sad to see all the buildings in the three blocks that burnt down last year gone. Some great businesses were lost.

And I got to get some boardwalk food before everything down here closes up for the winter! Fried Oreos, pizza, lemonade, and of course the great Kohr's Frozen Custard!

Seaside Heights is not my favorite Jersey Shore town, but it still holds a place in my heart and I am so happy to see it doing so well after Sandy 2 years ago and the fire last year.

Hello all you hooty owls that are still here.... I'm just getting in myself from a combination cookout and my grandfathers 96th birthday celebration....What a good time, the food was out of this world fantastic and the desserts, Oh my were they ever delightful....

I'm stuffed still! The only spoiler for today was the heat and humidity, whewww it was a hot one today around here; 94 degrees. But when a line of thunderstorms blew thru here around 7:30 this evening, the temperature dropped over 20 degrees.....what a pleasant relief.

Not doing too much tomorrow, cutting grass and watching a little football and eating leftovers all day...... Hope everyone had a good day today!

Good Saturday morning, my Christmas friends!

We took Jacob and his buddy to eat and see a movie last night. My plan was to drop the boys off at the theater, then go with Nancy & Elizabeth to the mall. After I bought their tickets, I realized it was rated R. So, I had to go with them.

Snowflake, we saw "As Above, So Below", and it scared the snot out of the boys LOL. Me, not so much, but they loved it. The R rating was probably for language, though. When things got intense, they dropped the "f" bomb a few times. I don't know why they think people want to hear that. Other than that, it was pretty good.

This evening we're grilling for Jacob's birthday with the family.

I agree with you about cursing in movies.There is no reason to ever have f bombs and taking the Lord's name in vain. I don't see that it adds anything.

Sorry to say they won't get any better until Jerry Jones gets a real GM. I miss the days of Tom Landry, Staubach, Lilly, Leroy Jordan, Bob Hayes, Walt Garrison.
