Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good morning,

What to do when your honey-do list is done before 9:30am?
Go looking for Christmas!!!! I went to Goodwill, they had a bunch of Santas for sale, but I restrained myself from buying any, even though I was holding one and even turned to purchase. It came to me that I don't yet know how I will display the ones I inherited from my grandma. I really want it though. cheesy
I went to KMart and they had their Halloween all set up, but only one hint of Christmas, a display of scented pine cones. Those always make think of Christmas.
I am watching "The Real Story of Christmas" documentary now, I just need to breakdown and buy this one, I fully enjoy it.

Turtle is napping, I brought him outside to play fetch, but he just wanted to play sniff. The crisp cool New England air must smell different to him, it is only 68*f now, feels superb!

I will be around more than usual today.

Turtle sounds like such a sweetie. He's probably very curious about the new smells all around him. How is he doing? This is probably a big adjustment for him, too. He's lucky to have found such a wonderful new family!

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a warm one with a high of 84 degree's and humid. Only two more days of warm weather and then high's in the 60's for the next week!! Well the roofers have returned this morning and it appears that they have decided that my building is next. So there goes any peace and quiet that I was hoping for. With strong storms predicted for tomorrow, I hope they start at the other end of the building!!! LOL!!! I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, my son's Guinea pig Norm died overnight. The kids are upset and my wife and I will miss that little guy too. He was part of our family.

Other than that, not much going on. I hope everyone is having a great week!

Awe!! So sorry to hear that. I always wanted a Guinea pig when I was little - Mom/Dad always said no! You all are going through enough - sending hugs & prayers!

Good morning, everyone!

One day away from 'Pines Day. One week from the 100-day Milestone. These days are soaring!

As I mentioned, yesterday was a lot busier than expected with going to the gym and then not getting home until almost 9:30. I was wiped! My dad phone, too, which I wasn't quite expecting. It is always good to hear from him though.

Today, I have practice then maybe I can fall asleep early. I didn't feel too refreshe when I awoke this morning, so hopefully I can fix that tonight.

Well, back to work. Maybe I will get a teaching call tonight!

[Holiday]

I woke up way too early this morning but all the dogs got their bath and I already got dinner in the crock pot. I am trying to get as much done this morning before it gets too hot. It will reach up to nearly 100 degrees and my AC is just not keeping up. So need to get this done while it's cool out, 78 degrees. One more day of this and finally it will drop down in the 80's!!! It will stay that way for the rest of the 10 day forecast!

I just got through watching the Fall Decor segment on QVC. They are now in the beauty segment, I just looked up and see them removing dead skin from the bottom of their feet. Ugh!!! Time to change the channel! :lol:

I have not had time to reply to you all but have been reading and trying to catch up. Things have been busy here. Going to the airshow on Wednesday, the Snowbirds will be performing. Looking forward to enjoying that.
I have a friend coming over shortly that I will be doing some typing and computer work for.
Kitchen, living room are clean and tidy and laundry done and folded.
I am going to be to wore out for work this afternoon!

Hope you have enough energy for work later!!

We are trying to remain hopeful & stay positive. Had a lovely chat with Dorothy over the weekend, she is such an inspiration. She has been having some good days now that the temps have dropped & humidity has lessened, she is breathing better. And when breathing better, she feels better & eats more, which gives her strength & energy. Dad's surgery was just moved up to tomorrow, so I am worried a bit but glad for it to be here too. Our friend,Brett, started treatment in Ensenada over the weekend. So, we are praying a lot!

I have not had time to reply to you all but have been reading and trying to catch up. Things have been busy here. Going to the airshow on Wednesday, the Snowbirds will be performing. Looking forward to enjoying that.

So sorry to hear that! They are sweet little pets.

I had two when I was in high school (supposedly both female, but that wasn't the case ...). They're supposed to be stupid, but these guys learned to associate the sound of the refrigerator door with fruit. When they heard the refrigerator door open and close, they whistled and got excited! When my dad relaxed in front of the TV, he'd sometimes say "Bring me a pig!" I'd get a towel to spread in his lap and bring him one of the piggies.
