Another busy day happening here today, got to get this four storey house into order for the dinner party! It's not in bad shape but there was a guest here for the week, so just extra laundry to do.
Must look at the menu to see which items are next on my list that is aboe to be prepared before time. I did make the Butternut Squash, Apple Soup with Curry Masala, yesterday. It's in the freezer now, and will be nice and fresh for the dinner party, as it's first course.​

To each and every one of you have a GREAT day, and give thanks unto God Himself for granting us another day to live out for His Glory and Honour!​

Good morning to all !!!! It's Monday morning the start of a wonderful week. Another busy week for me, but I like it that way.
Didn't get much done this past weekend except relaxing and watching football. I need to go thru my stamps and decide what I'm using for my Christmas cards this year and make sure I have all the supplies. Excited about getting started on them.

I weather is suppose to be nice this week. Hopefully the heat is gone for good.

That is wonderful to hear!! I am so glad you got to see your sis as well.
Our weekend was quiet. I was exhausted and just enjoyed doing nothing on Saturday. I worked yesterday - it was a long day lol.

I had the day off work! Yay!

You would love JSC! It was an amazing tour and we got to go behind the scenes so I highly recommend the Level 9 VIP tour if you ever get a chance to go. Not sure if I am repeating myself but lunch is included and you eat in the cafeteria where the astronauts eat. Only the Level 9 tour can eat in there. They give you a voucher and you can pile on as much food as you want. Yummy! If there were any astronauts in there while we were there I would not have known who is who but there were quite a few employees eating there.

I'm not much of a hot tea drinker but I may have to try it. I'll have to see if my neighbor has any lemon juice. I don't have any and I don't want to run to the store for fear of Snowflake coming down and beating me.

Just take a few shots of whiskey instead. You will be so tipsy that you won't care if you are coughing or not. KIDDING!!! Please take care of yourself and get well!!!!

6c (42f) this morning. Back door open to enjoy the nice cool fresh air. Enjoying a bowl of hot oatmeal for breakfast with a mug of ginger / lemon tea. Leave for work at 9 so have time to relax for awhile.

We are still trying to get to New York this December. That would be nice to attend the tree lighting ceremony!!! Really not sure we can get there on that day.

Good Morning, Folks.

The weeks keep passing, one after another.
An inexorable voyage back to the inevitable - to our beloved Christmas Season.

Today's numbers:
Days to the Season: 59
Days to Christmas Day: 101

And frightening though it may be, we must face the fact that TOMORROW will see us through
the 100-day Christmas Window and onto the fast track through a double-double digit count right on the the
start of Christmas Season 2014.
(Moving right along now, Friends!)


Very pleasant yesterday. Almost too cool as I don't recall seeing it reach 70 all day.
Today should be a bit warmer and a bit wetter, as well.
Starting off the new week, we show 63 degrees here in the capital city.

[Holiday]

Good evening!
So what did I do with my first paycheck? I bought my daughter a bus ticket. She's on her way home right now to visit for the weekend. We didn't tell anyone, we're going to surprise her father & sisters. Her roommate has also been feeling homesick so they decided to come home together. It's just a quick visit but I'm so happy. Can't wait until she gets here!

Good evening! I kind of have a gut punch sort of feeling right now. I had a really un-comfortable day at work this morning, something that I had to do, but I didn't really want to do.

I was called into the presidents office and I was asked allot of questions about the performance of another employee. Now, I like this guy, he's a little odd, and you can tell, that he has a slight learning difficulty, but he is very reliable to be at work, punctual, never misses a day, and would do just about anything you ask him to do. But, he was just not cutout for the engineering field, other than just a basic drafter, which we do not use at our firm. He needed constant supervision, had to always re-check his work, and you repeated yourself to him, about how to do the same things, over, and over and over again.

It had gotten to a point, where out of 20 engineers, it was only three of us that would work with him and try to keep him busy. It has just gotten to a point, where something had to give.

Well, needless to say, this afternoon, he was let go....I feel really bad for him. I have reached out to a couple of friends of mine that work at other engineering firms in hopes that something could be there for him....I talked to him alone and told him that things like this happen and it just plain out right stinks. I told him tomorrow is another day, the sun will rise and so shall he.....

I know that it was my report that was the straw that broke the camels back, but, I was honest to my boss as I always am and will be...I gave good points and bad points to him and my summary was that I do not believe in letting someone go, just because. But I felt that our firm was not the right place for him and nor would he ever progress to become a designer. He lacks confidence in himself, needs constant re-assurances, does not follow directions and just does not get what we do.

Agggghhhh, sometimes it stinks to do somethings that you really don't want to do, but you know you have to do it.....Poor guy~

Sending up prayers he find another position quickly!! xx

Good morning MMC! Happy Monday! I'm going to do my best to catch up around here ~ but you all were chatty! LOL! Hope you all had a great weekend!!

We stayed home most of the weekend, working in the house. I made a BIG batch of Ground Beef Hobo Stew, which turned out really yummy! I also made some fresh salsa, cut up & froze some tomatoes from the garden, & also froze some fresh green beans! I love having a kitchen again! :smile: Jim & friends have most of the insulation in the new room & the dry wall is sitting in our garage. Getting closer! Yesterday we went across the street to a party in the park - they had 2 bands, food, drinks, t-shirts ~ a benefit for the park. What a gorgeous day! All weekend was so fall like! My mums were delivered Saturday - they look beautiful!

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! We are off to a chilly start here in central Indy where it's currently 55 degree's. It looks like we will top out around 70 though. Not much going on here. I'm just going to run into the store to get some cough syrup and then it will be back home to get some stuff done around here. I'm really feeling pretty good expect for this stupid cough. My sister has seemed to get over her's but me and my niece just can't seem to get rid of it. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!
