Christmas Countdown - 2014

Thank you everyone for the support and encouragement. I've read all of the well wishes even though I haven't been able to respond to them all. Y'all mean so much to me!

Tonight is the viewing or the reception or whatever it is called where we will receive visitors. Tomorrow is the funeral, so there's a lot to do! I may not be on for a bit but I'm always thinking if y'all. I really need some Christmas this week! Hey, at least Wednesday is October!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

What a loooong weekend I had. Friday night, my brother called around 10:30 pm. His girlfriend's car broke down near Hilton Head. For some reason, we couldn't just go pick her up, she needed another car. So we went to the Savannah Airport and rented a car, then took it to her. I got home at 2 am.

Then I got up at 7:30 Saturday morning to get Elizabeth to dance practice. We got back home at noon, then she had to go back at 4:00 pm for Dracula rehearsals.

Went back home at 5:30 to get Jacob to take him to a band practice till 9:00 pm.

These kids practice in a nearby county, but it's too far away to just drop them off and go back home. You have to wait till it's done. Exxon is laughing all the way to the bank. LOL

Oxford OPP assisting in search for a missing 2 year-old girl east of Norwich, in Brant County.
BRANT COUNTY -- A massive search is underway at the border of Oxford, Brant and Norfolk Counties.
Around 7:00 pm Sunday night, two year-old Brooklyn Honderich wandered away from her home on Windham Line 19, near Caley Road east of Norwich.
Brant OPP were called to the home when the parents noticed the toddler was missing. Oxford and Norfolk OPP were then dispatched to assist with the search of the rural area, along with canine units and the OPP helicopter.

We didn't do a whole lot of shopping except in the Cicrle Center Mall - we did see some Christmas ~ I looked mostly at Carsons. Fun stuff!!!! But it was such a gorgeous day, it was hard to be in a mall!!! Figured we can shop when it's cold outside! We did go to the Yankee Candle store & I went straight to the Christmas section!!!

I need to go down to Circle Center. I haven't been there in years.

I hope you all had a great weekend! My brothers bday bash weekend was a success. I think he was surprised every day! :lol: We had so much fun. Indy is an awesome city! The party in the woods yesterday with his friends/family & the band was the best! Good time had by all! Beautiful location! I can't believe it's all over! :sad:

On another note, our brick layer showed up this morning! Yahoo....getting closer!!!

No I didn't. She must have been to busy shopping and not paying attention to the crazy guy walking through the mall and down the middle of the street!!

Now how did I miss that????? :lol: I was in the mall at that time too!! Hmmm...you must not have tried the Christmas section at Carsons! Hee hee! Shortly after we were on the patio at "Colts" Darn! :lol: :lol:

See that's what I did wrong. I was just walking through the common area's of the mall. I didn't go into any of the actual stores. I was hoping my voice would just carry into them. LOL!!!!!!!!

We did check out the canal - we walked it Saturday morning - 4.5 miles! :smile: It's beautiful!!!!! Circle Center is a very nice mall ~ it was just too nice outside to be inside & these days are numbered...so we went back outside! You living there has to be the reason it's so nice!!!!

It looks like the much talked about cool down is coming though and by this weekend, we will be back into the 60's. Not a whole lot going on here today. Need to run a few errands and then it will be back home to do some work on the computer. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!

At the office, I have to initial and date things that I proofread. There's always a little thrill when October comes and I'm jotting down TWO digits to signify the month instead of one. Seems like only yesterday we were celebrating the beginning of September!

Good morning everybody! I'm off today, took a vacation day, going to settle on the house today and start moving; (little things). The big moving days won't be until Thursday and Friday of this week.

I got one of those Life Station alert systems for my grandfather and I installed it yesterday. It's one of those emergency necklaces that you wear, push a button, and a emergency responder will answer.... Has anyone else ever bought / signed a contract with one of those companies ever before and if so, any advice to share?

I'm just doing some paperwork first thing this morning, then I'm going to load up the truck and do our final walk-thru and then head off to settlement.

I do the same thing. In August, we start getting orders that the customers want for December deliveries. I love sending out December delivery notifications to the plant in August!
