Good morning, everyone!
Happy Thursday! I am especially happy today since I am teaching for the rest of the week. A perfect way to lead me into the long weekend!
I must say, the countdown looks astounding! As Crown said, there is less than a week remaining before we reach that hidden milestone of a month until the beginning of the Christmas Season! Hooray!
Temperatures in Ottawa today are a little chilly for this time of year. Highs are to reach the lower 10s/50s. It was fairly close to reaching the freezing mark last night. The forecast calls for an increase in the temperature to begin on Sunday and last throughout next week, but I am sure we will reach that freezing point soon enough.
Despite the Kings loss last night, it was great to see the 2013-14 Stanley Cup Champions banner raised to the rafters of Staple Center. Watching and reliving the highlights of the magical playoff run was a little emotional. I could not stop smiling. Such a wonderful feeling!
As for tonight, I don't quite know what I will be doing... Kim and I don't really have any plans, which is nice. I expect the weekend to be a little busy. We're driving to Cornwall after the gym tomorrow. Introducing Simon to Kim's mom's two cats and dog should be interesting. The dog already doesn't really get along with the cats a whole lot. We'll see how it goes! Oh, and not to mention Simon already doesn't enjoy car rides a whole lot...
OK, well, I hope everyone is enjoying their Thursday. The long weekend is barely over a day and a half away! I, myself, am more than excited to celebrate (Canadian) Thanksgiving. I am sure I will be envious of the American Thanksgiving in about six weeks, but for now, I will be thankful for the delicious meal and treats put in front of me!
Have a great Thursday, everyone!
