Another Pines Day has arrived. It is a little sad in Ottawa. I am working at Passport today. I am in Gatineau, so I am 15 minutes from Parliament.

Hopefully things clear up shortly. Send your best to those affected.

Solider who was on guard at the war memorial and was the first one shot had died of his injuries, my thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Howdy folks! It's still raining here, 21 hours+ and it's still coming down outside. This Low is going to be an ugly Nor'easter, that's going to head up the East coast...

Mmmmmggghhhh, spent all day here at the office, calling and email places to notify them of mine and my grandfathers change of address. I pretty much got 90% of it done today, glad to get that out of the way.

Since it's still raining, gotta bag the Halloween decorations for tonight again, and so I think we are heading out tonight to go look at some furniture instead.

Well, I'm off now, time to head home. See you all tomorrow~

Homemakinggirl.....that kitten is so so so adorable!!!! We also have a new cat......almost all black....but not a kitten no more....he used to live with my best friend....somehow he got a little neglected when the dog came to live with them permanently.....and started to pee outside the liter box....he would have ended up in the shelter otherwise....so we got the sweet darling now along with Stripey......a lot checking each other out....hissing....sniffing....hiding......it is getting better....they are now in the same room...not cuddling or anything...but they both are there....I love em so much....and I am sure You re kitten brings a lot of joy to the house!!!!

I'm glad your new cat and Stripey are getting along a little bit better, it definitely takes time. My two older cats have been hissing at the kitten too. They'll get use to each other. Thankfully my dogs don't seem to mind the new addition. They really do bring us a lot of joy, they are such a blessing!

Please pray for us here in Canada
our parliament has been attacked and three people have been shot. Parliament is on lock down as an armed person is loose. Up to 30 shots fired so far.
Our members of parliment are there and locked in offices, have not heard where our Prime Minister is right now.
2 block radius around parliament hill is locked down, armed police everywhere. So scary.
