Good Morning, MMC!!!! It's going to be another chilly one here in Central Indy with some snow moving in later tonight. It's going to be another busy day here. I have lots of cooking to get done and then tonight I will get the turkey ready to go in the oven really early in the morning. I also need to sweep and mop the main part of the kitchen that I didn't do yesterday after I'm done cooking. First things first though, I have to run mom out to the doctor's office for a blood check and then swing by the store. I just remembered that my large collapsible strainer broke last week and my small one isn't going to work for 10 pounds of potatoes. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving Eve! I am off work today and my in laws flew in last night before the weather on the east coast got too bad...now my sister is coming in tonight, or rather later this afternoon from Memphis,tenn. I will have to venture out on the highways to the airport but I look at that as a exercise in patience! This is some weird weather we are having...the low this morning is 45F. THat is downright balmy..but colder weather is coming this weekend. I am not sure what we have to do as far as cooking goes, but we sure did a lot yesterday...mostly just mixing everything together to put in the stove tomorrow! I will check back in later...I have to get the boys breakfast together! have a wonderful morning everyone!

I am SO grateful. First, the job that I was expecting to keep me late tomorrow came in late today, so I stayed late to go ahead and finish it. Second, I'm allowed to work from home tomorrow---so I can get up a little later and stay out of the snowstorm. We're expecting 4 to 8 inches, but some of that will be sleet as it changes over from rain to snow, so driving will be difficult.

Then comes Thanksgiving and tree trimming and wrapping and cards, all to the accompaniment of music, movies, and Christmas old-time radio … a holiday-immersed three days! I really need to decompress, and all that will help.

A little magic is returning. I listened to about half of the latest Merry Podcast on the way to work this morning. I listened to the rest on the way home, and it ended JUST as I reached my driveway. I also saw a beautifully lighted front yard on the way home. And Kringle Radio just played "Don't Give Me No Goose for Christmas, Grandma," which reminds me of a dear departed friend of Mr. and myself who was a Christmas nut. (He would have LOVED MMC.) Things are looking up.

Sooo glad to hear it MerryCarey!! Have a great day working from home! Stay safe! My friends were supposed to arrive in Boston around 3am overnight. Last I heard from her was midnight! Sounds like they might have a white Thanksgiving!!

Another busy day here, sans work. I stayed home all day today, I got the AC cover put on, cleaned all the leaves off the driveway, got the rest of the stuff in the backyard put away for the winter. I finally got the lights up on the roofline, the three trees set up in the front yard, the Santa blowmold, Rudolph, and the the wreaths are up and the final door is wrapped. I am bushed, but it was all for Christmas so it was worth it.

Tomorrow I have an extended day at work for Thanksgiving/Black Friday, with the snowstorm coming I really don't know what to expect for customers. I will be taking the Equinox in to work because of the snow, because it has all wheel drive. The schools have already called the day for tomorrow, so I won't have to worry about my wife and kids being out in the slop.

I have seen both the M&M/Santa commercial and the Hershey Kiss bells commercial today, it really is Christmastime!!!

Kohl's has my favorite new commercial of this year so far, the Strange Magic commercial.

Good morning MMC ~
I have a feeling it's going to be a crazy busy day. I'll be working this morning, which was unexpected. I'll stop at the butcher on the way home to pick up my turkey. I'm usually there first thing in the morning, hopefully it won't be too crowded later. I also need to call the veterinarian as soon as they open to see if I can get Maggie in there this afternoon. I was up all night with her, I think one of her ears might be bothering her. The poor thing. And if I have time I wanted to run to Pier 1 Imports, there were a couple of more things I wanted for the kitchen. That might not happen though, it's definitely not a priority. And of course I'll be cooking all night. Busy, busy, busy. But it's all good stuff!

This is the last Pines day of November, wow, almost into the last month of 2014 !
Happy about dancing with the stars results, won't say it here incase you have not seen it yet.
Union meeting last night was good, love that they do it electronically, can sit at home and listen and take part in it and never have to get out of my pjs !
Only working a half day today unless someone does not show up for their shift again. I have a gingerbread house to bake later today.
-1c (30f) this morning, no rain, no snow.
