Christmas Countdown - 2014

Goooood morning MMC! Yes that was kinda a wake up call in a slightly loud voice! I know I know it's only Tuesday! BUT One day closer to Friday! We are at a slightly cooler 37F and all the snow is gone from our backyard and has been for about a week now! Maybe we won't even have a snowpack this year which would be freaky in the Utah mts..not that there is not snow higher up than we are like at 7 to 10 ft elevation. we are at a low 4000ft kinda a valley in these parts..if we were at 4000ft anywhere in the east we would be living in a ski resort. It is just different out here, and they did say the western states would have a very warm winter so there you have it. As long as the temps are in the 30 in the morning and 50 in the afternoon even if that is 20F above average I can deal because I was use to much warmer temps in the deep south and still managed to get in the spirit. But we are expecting a slight cooldown and some snow sat. around 3 inches..(it will melt the next day because it will get up to 50F) but still we can get out and play with the kids and they will enjoy it!

I am still having wacky dreams again last night but they were kinda funny though,so I will take those anyday..I have to get Breakfast going then take Brandi to school or the car shop to see if her car is ready...I hate all the car commercials this time of year, I want to get a new one soo bad but ours are just a few years old, we would be upside down in our payments im sure, and that is not a good thing, we need to wait another 2 years I guess. have a great morning mmc!

I am watching let it snow from the hallmark channel on Netflix and it is rising fast among my favotite Christmas films. It's just such a cozy movie to watch. There is another with Alicia Witt from last year where she stayed at the wrong house for a few days but fell in love with her "family" before she found out which one was the right and wrong one. Anyhow iI really enjoyed that ones as well. There are still tons of new ones I am really dying to watch this year. Maybe after work ends for the year I can catch up! Well the teps have dropped a tad its 44F shilly not cold by any means but I can get into the spirit as long as those dreaded 60's stay away! Have a great night everyone..I love slow nights at work!

Good evening everyone. Been on the run all day. Went to the mall, the outlets, Kohls, Target and Rite Aid. Thankfully I still managed to keep up with everything at home. Got some more Christmas shopping done, also received a couple of packages in the mail. I'm getting there, slowly but surely. I have to wake up early for work tomorrow so I'm going to turn in soon. Not looking forward to that nor'easter heading our way. I'm going to drive myself crazy worrying about the girls driving in it. I hope everyone is well and had a nice day. Hi everyone,

I just came in to let you all know our cat Sidney, passed away tonight. He was only 4 years old. We brought him to the Animal hospital emergency room, he had emergency surgery to fix an obstructed urethra, and he was unable to recover.
He was JP's cat, and he is going to be devastated when he wakes up in the morning. Sidney adored JP, and JP adored Sidney. They were best buddies, Sid was always "talking" to JP. He is going to be missed, he was such an easygoing, loving, happy go lucky cat.
Sidney may you rest in peace. We all love you.

I'm so sorry to read this xmas! Sending hugs, thoughts & prayers for all of you! Poor JP - how sad! RIP Sidney! :sad:

Oh, xmas, so sorry to hear that ... 4 years old is so young for a cat. The unexpectedness makes it harder. My heart goes out to you and JP.

Gloria lost Pumpkin this year, and he was only about 4 years old. She still doesn't know what happened. He got very sick suddenly, and the vet couldn't save him. He was a sweet kitty, but a bit of a hellion too. Gloria and her other cat were devastated. I'm going to miss him when we are able to visit again.

Good morning MMC! We made it through Monday!!! :rudolph:
I can't grasp that Christmas is in 16 days!!! When am I going to get my shopping done? I have so many movies to watch, & music to listen too & cookies to bake & candy to make & friends to visit ~ and I still have some lights/garland that are not up! EEK!!! I guess it's coming whether I get everything done or not! :smile:

Today is my Dad's 87th birthday! I'll have to stop in there at some point to wish him a happy b-day! Maybe at lunch, if they are home!

Last night I made 2 loaves of "everything bread" & a big crock pot full of "pot au feu" ~ I figured I will bring some of the stew to my friend who lost his Mom last week, & the rest of it to our friends who's son hit & killed the pedestrian over Thanksgiving weekend. My friend is really, really struggling with this. They have been through so much! SO sad anytime, but especially this time of year. Anyway, I will see if I can deliver the food after work today.

The last I have read on the Nor'easter was that the interior sections of N.Y and Coastal Maine(all of Maine actually) were getting the snow..places slightly east were getting a mix of rain/sleet/ freezing rain and places directly close to the Ocean were getting rain,and (a lot of wind) now this is from accuweather.com from 4am this morning, things can always change. But the winds are what looked so bad, like 60 mph gusts along the coast. Just an ugly ugly midweek storm..Be careful everyone that lives in the path!
