Good Morning!
We had a late night, everyone is still sleeping. I'll probably wake them up soon, I don't think I can wait much longer! For now I have the yule log on the tv, Christmas music is playing, I have a hot cup of coffee and I'm here with all of you. Life is good. We were with my in-laws last night and will be with my side of the family today. I hope everyone has a beautiful and magical day!

Yes, we have made it back again.
As Lawrence Welk would have said, "Wunerful Wunerful!"
Now for Crown's long-awaited one week vacation from countdowning.
It comes at a good time too, as we are planning a 4-day visit to see cousins who moved to Alabama a few years ago and whos new house we have not seen.
We are leaving Saturday morning early and returning Tuesday, so I will be back in time to launch the Christmas Countdown 2015 thread.
Which of course, brings me to the annual sad part.
This thread will be locked down promptly at the stroke of midnight following the 31st, to be immediately succeeded by the New Year's Countdown thread.
(Sad, but also exciting!)
Still MORE rain yesterday.
Enough already. We have developed ponds in both our front and back yards and we lost power twice yesterday.
Hopefully, today will be drier.
This morning has started off at a warm 51 degrees, here.

Merry Christmas, Crown. Thank you for leading us in the countdown throughout 2014. Waking up and seeing the count every morning brings me such joy. Have a wonderful, and well-deserved, break. Oh, and of course, a safe trip to visit your cousins!

We opened our gifts here---lots of wonderful video surprises, as always. Books and videos are always at the top of the lists here! We're going to need a couple blizzards so we'll have time to watch all this stuff!
We'll be heading out to my BIL's a little later for the family Christmas with Mr.'s mom, sibs, nieces, nephews, and a few uncles, aunts, and cousins. Late in the day we'll be back home for some relaxation and more Christmas movies.

breakfast is done, the gifts are open and the wrappings cleaned up.
Turkey stuffed and in the oven.
Pomegranate/cranberry sauce has started cooking. (takes an hour to cook and then has to cool off before serving)
Have to clean up the kitchen, but LittleCS is going to do that.
Now I am going to relax and enjoy watching my gift season one of "Doc" !
