Christmas Countdown - 2014

Snow-in-Texas and I have went to the Arboretum 2 days in a row. They have the 12 Days of Christmas set up out there in the gazebos. We are trying to soak up as much Christmas as we can before they take it down. Each gazebo plays Christmas songs. It is quite festive and really puts us in the Holiday Spirit! Yesterday was a short 20 minute walk out there - today we spent a little more time.

We do plan to renew our membership to the Arboretum next year. They have so much to do out there and the scenery constantly changes.

Thanks - it's going okay. Hanging out with the kids and watching some Christmas movies now, just waiting for DH to get home from work.

Thank you! But you weren't supposed to be able to recognize my voice! cheesy I really enjoyed reporting on Santa and the doings at the North Pole.

I think Made quoted someone as saying that Christmas is either here or on the way. I try to think of it that way. But I still get pretty blue when the rest of the world goes back to business as usual. That's why I love to visit MMC, where "business as usual" includes a bit of Christmas every day! Hooray for all you warm-hearted, festive-minded folks!

We just got back from the Container Store, where I went to get some new ornament storage boxes and thingies to wind light strings on. I really wanted them last year, but I waited too late and they were all gone. We also got a big long box to store wrapping paper in. We had one already, but it isn't long enough for the bigger rolls. I also ordered a couple things with an Amazon gift card I received.

'Tis the season to get organized so that next year goes smoothly! I need to find a way to safely store my beautiful ceramic Santa that I bought on impulse in November, plus a few other new small decor items. I won't be starting to pack things up until after New Year's, though. I shouldn't say it myself, but we have a really beautiful tree, even though it's small, and I always hate to pack it away and not see it again for many months. But that makes it all the more wonderful to see when it's up again.

Good Evening, MMC!!!! It's been a rainy foggy day here in Central Indy but at least it was warm out with a high of 52. It's starting to really cool off now though and it looks like winter will return this week. The funeral was nice this morning and the drive wasn't to bad. I tried stopping at a few CVS's along the way to look for a Santa that I wanted but none of them had them. I may have to try the one that I found my other big one at last year. I hope everyone has had a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

I won't say what elves I was but I think it was pretty clear to anyone that has ever heard me talk. LOL!!!!!
