Christmas Countdown - 2015

[Holiday]

Good morning MMC!! Happy Hump/Pines day! Coffee is my friend this morning ~ I'm chilly!!! I didn't need 90º so fast, but this 40 something & wind is a little too cold for me in May! LOL!

Not much going on here today! I'm not really sure what my hubby is up too today either! He got a massage at 9:00 this morning ~ his chiropractor told him he had knots in his shoulders so he should try a massage. Poor guy! cheesy Oh, I know what he's doing later - BIG day - we are getting a new water heater at home this afternoon! Woo Hoo! LOL! NOT! Other than that, I'm just working & hopefully I'll get a walk in with Gracie & I'll have to get something out for supper. Jim wanted to plant tomatoes & peppers after I get off work, but it's supposed to be nicer outside tomorrow ~ I'm hoping to convince him to wait til tomorrow! xx

He went to the chiro Monday (He goes every 5 weeks) & she always makes him feel better...this was just a little extra treat since he is on vaca I guess! But I agree ~ hopefully it will help!! I haven't heard from him this morning!

Yes, unfortunately, we had to a few days ago.
And now it's going to reach 80 degrees this weekend, go figure! [emoji28]

It's great that he gets regular chiropractic, I swear by it too. Praying he continues to feel better, friend.

Good morning, everyone!

It's a mostly sunny, but chilly morning in Ottawa. Temperatures are expected to climb into the mid-teens/upper 50s. The wind and rain yesterday really seemed to drive out the humidity. Yesterday was quite an easy day for me. I had the day off. I only had one job offer that peaked my interest. Initially, the offer was only for 3/4 of a day rather than a full day, so I declined. Evidently, it was later upgraded to a full day, but I wasn't offered it again. Oh well, I really enjoyed my first day off in about three weeks.

Today, I am back at Russell. All of my classes are the computer lab, so it is quite an easy day for me. Hopefully I can a call for tomorrow sometime today. I am already booked for Friday. I need at least 4 of 5 days this week!

There isn't much else happening today. I am very glad to see that the Montreal Canadiens were eliminated from the NHL playoffs last night. I don't really know who I am rooting for now. My mom is a Blackhawks fan. By association, I like it when they do well. Unfortunately, something really good might happen (for me) if the Ducks win the Cup. As a Kings fan, it's quite difficult to pull for the Ducks, but I think I have a good reason.

Well, we've reached the midweek again. We're also almost at the middle of the month for May. In fact, halfway through our next milestone, we will be exactly halfway through the trek to the Christmas Season and the month of May! Where does the time go?!

Wherever it goes, I am sure that Carl is excited for another celebration at the 'Pines tonight! Have a great Wednesday, everyone!

Oh that's crazy!! Talk about weather being up & down! We are supposed to be back in the 80's by Friday too! Low 80's! I'm good with that! cheesy

Thanks! I tell him he is not allowed to ever stop going b/c he gets grumpy when things get out of whack! He has been going to her for several years. She see's quite a few UPS drivers in her office. Imagine that! LOL!

Happy Wednesday! I am feeling a bit tired today...my little stinker, Leo woke hubby at 1 to go outside and then would not come back inside so then I woke up and he finally came back in the house. It was one of those deals you would get close to him and he would run..lol..wanting to play! Then I could not fall back asleep for awhile. Coffee will be my friend today. Of course, Leo is sound asleep on the couch snoring!

Good morning!
Happy Pine's Day!
I am sooo tired this morning. Did not sleep well at all. I was up coughing most of the night. Feeling a bit better overall though so that's a good thing. Thankfully there isn't too much going on today. I do have to run to the supermarket at some point, can't put it off any longer. Other than that I'll be working some chores around the house. My mother may take a ride over to for a visit later this afternoon too. That's about it for me.

And just that fast, we are back again to mid-week and our open house visit to the Shispering Pines, Carl - manager & activities director.

The numbers:
Days to the Season: 184
Days to Christmas Day: 226

And frightening close is the HALF WAY Milestone marker to Christmas Season 2015, now a scant TWO days away.
(That's the day after tomorrow, Guys!!)


More heat and humidity yesterday, but today is predicted to be nicer, with both reduced heat and lower humidity.
It has begun at 65 degrees and if the prediction holds, I'll get that lawn mowing done!

Good morning. I went outside this morning and wow, what a temperature difference, it is absolutely gorgeous outside. The temperature was in the 50's, the sun is shining and all of the humidity is gone... makes a person feel alive again!

Speaking of feeling alive again, I slept so soundly last night, I hardly remember my head hitting the pillow. I got about 10 hours of sleep last night, you know I was tired when I sleep that long and I also didn't want to pull my head from of the pillow this morning as well.

Well, I'm going to grab some breakfast and get a coffee refill...Have a wonderful morning!:-D

problem with starting work at 9:30 is I do a bunch of stuff at home first so by the time I get through a day at work I am really wore out.
But I am so grateful for steady work that I enjoy doing.

Tried to catch up here but am resigned to the fact that it will never happen because I just have to much going on to sit in front of a computer for very long, but at least I know this place is always here with warm hugs ready to go when I am.

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

We went to the honors program for the middle grades at school yesterday to see Elizabeth get her Honor Roll trophy. I'm so proud of her! Jacob didn't make honor roll this year, but, amazingly, neither did anyone else...in the whole 11th grade! That was a tough year! Still, he passed AP Chemistry and AP US History, so he has earned college credit. Good for him (and my wallet!).
