Good morning everyone!
Happy Pine's Day!
Not too much going on here today. I'll be stuck in the house this morning, waiting for my daughters bedroom furniture to be delivered. I'll need to run to Target at some point to pick up a couple of sheet sets and a new blanket since we got her a bigger bed. I told her to look online for a new comforter set, I'd rather her do that than drive all over the place until she finds one that she likes. I also need to decide on a gift for my father, his birthday is next week. Other than that I'll be working on some chores around the house. I hope everyone is well and has a great day!

Days to Christmas Day: 212

And just look how close we are to SINGLE DIGITS to the 200-day Christmas Day Milestone island, lurking just 12 days off the bow of our good ship MMC.
(Why, we are practically in port!)


A bit of warmth and a bit of humidity was the weather tale yesterday.
No rain though, but that could change today, where we have begun things at 73 overcast degrees here in the capital city.


Well, Folks. Hard though it may be to believe, we have arrived at the FINAL Pines Day of May 2015. The month has slipped away.
Carl is aware of this, of course, and I'm sure he will work it into this evening's entertainment.
(Just how I don't know, but he will work it in somehow.)

It rained for about 2 hours - came down sideways for awhile. BUT around 6:30 it was beautiful outside. Humidity was gone! Sounds like more of the same for today with rain moving in later on! Darnit! Them boys need a good night this week to work on the patio! They got some done last night, but another nice night would help them out so they can pour this weekend! xx

We could use a little of all that rain. It hasn't rained here in over a month now. It's dry around here!

That's usually how it goes!! Soon we will have brown grass! Hope you get some rain soon!!! xx

Maggie's hanging in there. I think her cough is a little bit better, still hoping it continues to improve as she takes the medicine. It's been a challenge getting her to take all of those pills. She's been giving me a hard time, even with the pill pockets. I have to do a song and a dance to get her to take them!

Glad to hear her cough is getting a little better! Hopefully that continues. I remember having a hard time getting Buster to take his pills! I always had to buy smoked sausage, slice it, cut a slit in the sausage & stick the pill in there! They know how to work it so they get good treats. Good luck!!

Good evening everyone. Such a busy day! Work, errands and chores. And then I had to help my daughter take everything out of her room because her new bedroom set is being delivered tomorrow. I can't even begin to tell you how much stuff that girl owns. And all of it has to go right back in tomorrow. Can't wait until that's over with, everything she owns is piled up in the middle of my living room. Anyway, I can't keep my eyes open so I'm going to turn in. Hope everyone had a nice day. Happy Pines Day, MMC!!!!! It's going to be another hot and humid day here with a high of 83 this afternoon. I had planned to go to another job fair today but I'm not quite sure that leaving mom alone for 4 hours is a good idea at this point. So I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do. I guess I will give it a couple of hours and see how she is doing. I'll try to check back in later today. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

Hope that they get a good, dry night soon! It rained up until 6 o'clock this morning! Everything is just saturated!

Rain is great, and makes everything look so beautiful, but sometimes you just need a break from it ;-)

The things we do. I had my daughter go outside today and ring the doorbell a few times so that Maggie would think someone was there. She got nervous and ate the pill pockets, lol. Ridiculous, but it worked.

Good evening everyone.

Guess what, I found another snake today outside the house. Yup, about startled the daylights out of me. I was outside trimming about six feet off of about 5 of my Leyland Cyprus trees out back and I had the branches scatted about all around the base of the trees. Just as I was getting the last few branches up off the lawn, I reached down and just as I grabbed the branch, it took off slithering right to the side of my left foot. I thought the thing was going to go up my pants leg.... I looked like I was tap dancing on a bed of hot coals trying to get away from it. I looked it up on the internet and it was an Eastern Garter Snake; harmless....

That's the 3rd snake I've found in the month of May...

Anyway, been busy all day, spent the first half of my day running errands and then the later half of the day, working outside and in the basement. Watching Miracle on TV right now CMT channel, love that movie....
