Christmas Countdown - 2015

Very nice, thank you! We hadn't seen him since before Thanksgiving, so he brought a delicious cake that said "Happy 19th Day of Christmas"! He knows the best bakeries! I put on some Christmas music and we all had a big slice.

Stay safe---don't take a chance driving on ice, if you can help it. We were supposed to get frozen precip this morning, but happily the temps have stayed above freezing so far. Rain expected today, but we're going down to the teens tonight, so it will freeze later.

Good morning, friends! How are you all doing? I'm well. Yesterday, we had to take the kids to Chuck-e-Cheese for a birthday party in the evening and by the time we got home, I laid down, and that's all it took! The kids must have laid down with me too! DH said they fell asleep with me and he got them to bed. I think I fell asleep around 8. Oh well, I must have needed it!

Anyway, we got some ice here this morning. It's not as bad as what I think they were calling for. DH is already at work and he said the roads seem to be fine. They did put the kids on a delay though. Our district does cover a pretty big area though, so they're probably just being cautious.

Good Monday morning everyone! Although I am not really an ohio fan..I will be watching the game tonight...I hope and pray they win,,my whole family is Oregon ducks fans and every single year I have to endure them bragging. I miss the college football season already why does it have to go by so fast!! it seems like we wait all winter spring and summer then fall comes and all of a sudden it's like over in 2 seconds!

Anyways right now at 7am we are socked in under heavy fog at 37F it's suppose to rain all day with it changing over to snow at some point and they are saying we may get an inch...that's great cause there is hardly any snow on the ground now. Brandi just left for work and I am with the kids until 3. I am thinking of using a personal day today its just too gross out there, I need to make my mind up! have a great day everyone! I just heard on the radio that today is suppose to be like the saddest day of the year...wth?? what will they come up with next.lol

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! Well the ice storm didn't really pan out. There was a think coating of ice out there but not the half inch of they were talking about. I put down one coating of salt when I first got up this morning and then I just went and put a second coating down on the spots that hadn't already melted. The cars are pretty much clear. Just north of here they got it worse though and everything is canceled today. Not to much planned for me this morning. Just need to do a few things around the apartment. Then since it's not bad out, I'll go babysit this afternoon while my sister meets with the counselor from the court. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

Merry Monday!

Hope everyone is well and coping with whatever life is throwing at you.

Strong gales up to 100mph sweeping across Britain these days. Some places got up to 125. I couldn't sleep at all on Friday night - It felt like the house was going to fly away at one point andthe howling sound was unnerving!

I have to do some work which means I will be on the computer. Fingers crossed I don't get distracted with MMC lol!

I arranged to have superbowl sunday of work. Mr festive has booked the Monday off work too so he doesn't have to worry about staying up late. Live coverage begins around 11pm for us. Looking forward to it!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's a wet, dreary morning today, but we could always use some rain. Mrs. Hilda continues to improve, and I hope they decide to move her to a closer hospital for physical therapy, maybe by the end of the week. *fingers crossed*

We got some good news here at work late last week, and I'm hoping we all reap some of the benefits soon. I don't want to jinx it, so I'll stop there. :wink:

Well good morning! It is if your not on the road around these parts. It looks like a glazed doughnut outside at the moment. We are definitely getting a pretty good freeze outside at the moment, ice is hanging off of everything, the trees are all drooping over with all the weight on them and miniature ice cycles everywhere.... I'm staying put for a while this morning, maybe head into work, like around noonish, if, and I do say, if, things start to rise enough where my driveway is not a ski slope.....:-D

Stay safe if you decide to go out! (but I think you should stay home!) ;-)

Good afternoon gang ... We had a 2 hour delay for work this morning due to slippery road conditions. By the time I left the house, the roads were not that bad a few slick spots here and there. Since I had extra time I stopped at Hallmark on my way into work and scored on a bunch of ornaments for our kids. I even picked up a few that I liked for the tree and a few more for gifts for extended family. Got to love 75% off sales!!!

We did take down all the outdoor Christmas decorations yesterday but left the snowman out and strung up snowflake lights across the front of the deck. We will keep them there until March.
