[Holiday]

Good morning everyone!
Happy Fourth of July!
The weather isn't looking too good today. It's going to be mostly cloudy with scattered showers this afternoon, a high of only 73 degrees. I guess I'll have to send my husband out with an umbrella to grill and we'll eat in the dining room. Not what I had planned but it will be alright, we'll have fun anyway. I still have a lot to do this morning so I'm going to finish my cup of coffee and get started. I'll pop back in when I can. I hope everyone is well and has a happy and safe Independence Day!!!

I hope your weather was better than expected and if not I hope you all enjoyed dinner in the dining room!

Good morning, friends. Hope everyone got a good night's sleep and are bubbling with excitement for today's festivities...even if that means just hanging out on your couch!



Full day for Ballcoach and family. Going to in-laws for a cookout later this afternoon. We should be leaving around 3:00. I don't care which family it is, I love family get-togethers. I don't understand why people don't do it more. We always wait until holidays or birthdays!



I'm probably going to get in trouble, but I bought Bambina some fireworks. Not like "flying through the air, big boom" fireworks, but little sparklers. I don't know if she will be too young or not. I figured it wouldn't matter...if she doesn't like them, I can give them to the rest of the kids there or adults, for that matter.

[Holiday]

Good evening everyone!
The weather turned out to be pretty good today, we had a couple of light showers early this afternoon and then it cleared up. We had lots of great food and a wonderful day with family. I'm beyond exhausted though so I'm going to turn in, if I can. The fireworks are still going strong here, Maggie has been growling non stop. But I'm sure it will dwindle down soon.

I'm glad you all had such a wonderful time! Poor Maggie! I know it's tough on them so we just have to keep them safe!

Someone in the neighborhood let off a few fireworks (illegal in this state). But in spite of the noise, I confess I enjoyed them. I hadn't seen live fireworks in years and years! A friend at the office slipped me two sparklers that she got at an out-of-state wedding, so I burned those a little while ago. I hadn't had any of those since I was a teenager. It's been a fine day! It isn't quite over yet, either!

How fun Merry! Our friends have a big Fourth of July pond party every year, which was Friday! They spends thousands on fireworks – it was an awesome show! Fireworks go off over the pond with patriotic music playing in the background and as soon as the fireworks are over they plays taps! Amazing! [emoji173]️

Good morning!
I hope everyone had a safe and happy fourth of July!
It is going to be a nice day, partly cloudy with a high of 80 degrees. We have another barbecue today, this time at my nephews house. It starts at 2:00 and we'll stay for a couple of hours. I can't leave Maggie alone for too long, I want to be home before the fireworks begin again. It didn't quiet down here last night until well after midnight. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a happy Sunday!!!

Have fun at the cookout and I hope Maggie does OK today and tonight!

Good Sunday morning, my Christmas friends!



The fireworks were great against the background of the mountains last night, with a long echo. We grilled burgers & dogs before going to the show, and they turned out just right.



Today we're going to the 2015 Cherokee Pow Wow over in Cherokee. Should be fun!

[Christmas-A-Holic]

How was everyone's 4th?

We had a nice day. My job was closed but we went in to feed all the critters. Afterward, came home and had a cookout while watching Moonshot and Apollo 13. Then headed to Starbucks for Frappes and went to the Arboretum. I was surprised it wasn't too miserably hot to be outdoors, it was actually nice out! We came home to watch TV from Hallmark Christmas movies and other shows. At nightfall we stepped outside to watch everyone blow off fireworks even though it is against the law for them to do that but it sure was pretty!

Funny thing is, here it is 4th of July and we both really wanted to go to the year round Christmas store. Wait! That really isn't that funny, you all get it don't you? Ha ha! Well, they were closed for the 4th so we might head out there next weekend. We did observe the 4th but throwing in a little Christmas is good anytime of year! cheesy

Wow!!! Look at the numbers!

We start really thinking Christmas right after 4th of July celebrations come to an end.

In a way, for me, the season feels like it kicks off in 57 days. It will be September 1st and I will put all my fall decor out. 131 days we will be in full Christmas mode!!!

We watched Christmas movies, grilled out with friends, played board games, watched fireworks from inside the house (we have a perfect view!) where we could drown out the noise for Harlowe and make sure she felt safe, and then watched more Christmas movies!
