Good Afternoon MMC !!

first update on LIttleCS....she says thanks for the thoughts and prayers. Xrays show she has a pinched nerve. She will be going for physio and continuing on her meds for awhile yet.

Pocket is no longer with us, she was 14 years old.Health Problems with her have made it necessary to have her put down. She was always such a sweet cat

I'm so sorry to hear about Pocket. Sending love, hugs and prayers to you and your family.

Thanks so much for all the thoughts and prayers for Andre. I took him to the vet and actually saw my regular vet this time. He thinks it may be a cervical disc issue or pinched nerve. So he is on anti-inflammatories and if needed some muscle relaxers. Initially when I went to another vet in the office (she was very young and looked like she just graduated school), I was very nervous because she said if the problem persisted then we would need to see a neurologist and possible surgery. But my regular vet (longtime practicing) said he feels that Andre would only need to be referred out if the discs were displaced in his lower back and had issues standing and walking but he felt all his muscles, which he said felt pretty loose and tested his gait and that was fine so he feels we can treat his symptoms as needed. I felt very relieved after talking with him.

We have only had Andre for about a year and a half, we rescued him last year and he is older just turned 6 but he is such a sweetheart and has a ton of energy so I hate to see him in any sort of pain. I call him my 85lb lap dog...:) Hopefully, he should be back on track after a couple of doses!

Hope you are all having a good day!

So happy to hear that, SnowflakeMom!
What a relief ❤️
Continued prayers for Andre.
Hugs to you both!

This day last year around 1 in the afternoon, my Dad died. As was our custom, I was on the phone with him at 9:30 that morning. He was talkative that day but I cut him off so I could go back to work. I was unbelievably stupid and selfish with no idea of what is important and what is not.

Ouch. I sure hope you're not beating yourself up over that. I've been there.

I saw "uncle Vinny" at the pool, I was in a different "tank" and I wanted to yell out to him, but I didn't. Our eyes never met so I said to myself, "I'll just catch up with him later." Later didn't come about. I was changing after my swim when I heard the alarm go off in the pool. I said to the guard that was locking doors, "I just need to see if that's Uncle Vinny". She let me through. (Odd that I had the feeling it was him.) They were performing CPR on him. He didn't make it. They gathered he had encountered another stroke, but his lungs filled with water so I don't remember what the final cause of death was.

I felt bad for along time that I couldn't do more and that I had't taken the opportunity to shout out a "hello" to him. It was taking me along time forgive myself and then I wound up being part of the "Crisis Intervention Team" and as much as it hurt at the time, it gave me a chance to listen to everyone's experience and then I asked myself the toughest question of all, "Would he still be alive if I had greeted him that day?" NOPE. I robbed myself of that chance at the time, but it didn't change the outcome.

I understand that you're talking about your dad and that must be harder than my goodbye; I just hope my words and experience will help you forgive yourself. You weren't being selfish, you were working, that's how most of us go through life in order to live some quality of life and to be part of the spokes that makes the wheels go 'round.

Thinking of you and sending merry hugs your way.

I'm glad the appointment went well SnowflakeMom, I hope the medicine works quickly. Continued prayers for Andre and for you as well.

Good morning MMC! Happy Friday Eve!! Ah, I love the sound of that! :)

I'm a little sleepy this morning. My friend came over last night - I didn't even realize it yesterday that it was 6 months ago (yesterday) that I lost my Dad! She brought me a beautiful lantern in his memory! She totally caught me off guard! It was very thoughtful! We sat out on the patio under the patio heater until 10:30 & had a couple Bud Light Limes! It was a nice night. Tonight a few girls are taking me out for my (belated) birthday. Should be fun, but I wish I wasn't so tired - I got about 7 1/2 hours of sleep last night, but I must not have slept great! Good thing tomorrow is Friday! :)

My Mom had a good day yesterday - here she is with her 2 new Great Grandbabies, Kate & Gavin! I just love this pic! :)

Have a Fantastic Friday Eve Christmas Friends!
Great picture!!!

I am so sorry for your loss, CS.

I know the Blossoms thread isn't open yet, but my wife came across this at Sam's tonight and sent this pic...

We are getting close!
Awesome to see trees up. Thanks for posting.
Someone needs to tell them if they want to sell more, maybe make sure all the lights are working before displaying. :p

Good evening,
Just was going to pop in to say goodnight, but I made it through all the posts.
I had a rough night of sleep last night, so I am very tired tonight. I came very close to calling out this morning, but willed my way through the day.

I hope you all had a good day.
Goodnight, everyone.
