Enjoy your long weekend! It IS going to be a chilly one!!! Time seems to be slipping away!! So much to do...
This weekend we have all outdoor activities planned on Saturday, which is not good considering the weather forecast! We are having a memorial tribute to our friend at the lake. We bought a plaque for her husband, & sun catchers for her 2 granddaughters & her son. We bought her favorite wine & we are going to have a toast to her after we give them their things. After that we are making wings on my BIL's big cooker & we will be cooking Smoked sausage Cabbage Potato Soup over the fire. We will have to start the soup early so we can make the fire big again to watch the Buckeye game outside on the big screen at 8:00! BRRRRR

I love taking the back roads, I bet it was a beautiful drive.I love Ben Franklin too!! We did have a good night. I took her all over - we stopped at the lake on our way, so I took mostly back roads. Roads she hasn't been on for a long time! It was nice. I also bought her 2 pumpkins at Bens & set them on her front porch (she thought they were for me) I never told her, so I'm wondering how long it will take her to notice them. Hee hee!
A Friday would have been more ideal but Thursday isn't so bad...at least it'll be "Friday" when it officially starts!

My son had a very good birthday yesterday. Thanks again for all the well wishes.
As we were driving around yesterday, I noticed a drastic increase in leaf-fall and colour. It was beautiful and it seemed so sudden compared to early last week.
My head feels stuffy and I have either another cold or still haven't got over that last one. I'm not sure. I feel fine mostly though.
Well I better get some things done. It's almost like boxing day after a birthday

I finally caught up with her last evening.
She said she heard the murmur when doing an exam, and that it's hard to tell much more about it from that. I informed her that another vet had mentioned it as well, when Har was a puppy-in Vegas. But we had not heard it mentioned since that, so we had hoped she outgrew it. She told me some symptoms to look out for, if it progresses. And that they don't typically treat it with medications until heart failure begins.
It is all very upsetting to me.
She sent me more information, that I'll print & read today. Hopefully being educated about it will empower me, not just scare me even more.
