Christmas Countdown - 2015

Good Monday Morning MMC! It is a Monday yes...but for many of us it's more like a Wednesday already. Pretty awesome. Always love this week so much. I'm at work early today (and the next couple) as I plan on leaving half a day Wednesday. So much stuff to do this week but most of it is all fun which is just awesome. My motto is the next few days if you face any adversity at work or such just say to yourself "Think about the turkey." lol
Anyway, I've got plenty to do the next couple of days at work but that's ok because it's all going to be worth it Wednesday by early afternoon when I'm off for Thanksgiving break. Have a great Monday everyone!

We put the tree up over the weekend and although we didn't get snow, we got good news that is nothing short of a Christmas miracle. Late last year, I mentioned that Mr Festive's department would be facing redundancies. It has been a constant worry and stress not knowing what the future held. On Friday, he was offered a secure role in another department with the same company. The manager there wanted him specifically for the position. The news couldn't have come at a better time with everything else that has been going on and I'm praying that everything goes smoothly.

I just wanted to say Thank You to everyone who kept us in their prayers and gave me support and encouragement through out.

Christmas magic is in the air ...

My, my, how crazy my past week has been. On Friday we had the cremation of my grandfather and in between and after I had all the correction work to do for work. Luckily, everything is dying down again now so I have some time to unwind today and to think about and focus on all things Christmas

I may have to work, and it may be a Monday, but it's also my birthday and the week of Thanksgiving and a short work week, so I'm not too bummed about it! My husband and I celebrated this weekend since he works today and is on call tonight, so I feel fully loved already!

I hope that each of you has the merriest of days! That would be the best birthday present ever!

Good Morning, Thanksgiving Week Folks!

Yes my Friends, we have indeed arrived at the week which contains the above long-awaited holiday.

Today's number tell the tale:
Days to Thanksgiving: 3 (UNDER HALF A WEEK remains!)
Days to Christmas Day: 32 (1 MONTH FROM THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW!!)


It was quite chilly here yesterday and will be even colder today.
Our temp this morning is 34 degrees with sub-freezing numbers expected for tonight before warmer weather creeps back in starting tomorrow.


Have a Marvelous Monday, Everyone. How about those 10-0 Panthers?!
(And the Packers are back on top, too!)

Was deer hunting all weekend. Only saw 1 deer. But while sitting in my stand on both days, it started snowing. My thoughts automatically went here and all my friends here and thoughts of Christmas. I'm now done with hunting, going to get our real tree Friday and decorate the house this weekend (the fiance has a rule that we don't decorate for Christmas until then, the exception is to put up the outside decorations up because the weather was decent, but I cannot light them until Friday (I'm going to try and push that to Thursday, though. what a better way to send Thanksgiving out than with lighting up the house for Christmas!)) Happy Sunday everyone!!

my brother loves to hunt too. I love the flavour of wild meat, beef has no comparison in flavour.
I decided to finish with the gingerbread house competition first , then will finish decorating the house.
So glad we put up the outdoor lights when we did, it is -10c (14f) this morning

Good evening everyone! My husband and I ended up doing some Christmas shopping today, I crossed a few more gifts off of my list. We also picked up two Christmas trees for the dining room. They're white pencil trees and they look beautiful, I just need to decorate them. I'm probably going to hang my vintagey looking ornaments on them. I think my Shiny Brite ornaments will look beautiful against the white trees.
