Okay, I just have to say, I have a lot of stuff in a 900 sq ft apartment. Mainly Christmas stuff. There is an apartment at the end of the street though, that the people moved out of 2 weeks ago. They had to hire a company to come in and clean it out. They just picked up the second 20 yard dumpster full of stuff away and dropped a third off. They are even having to wear hazmat suits to even go into it. I don't think they will be getting their security deposit back.

EEK! Sounds like a case of the hoarders!! I would say they can kiss their deposit goodbye!

A few weeks ago I had mentioned a children's picture book from decades ago called "The Shiniest Star," a Christmas story in verse. Mr. surprised me with a reprint of it this evening, and I was delighted. I found my old original copy, and discovered it was missing an entire page! So between the original and the reprint, I have it back again. It's such a sweet story! If it weren't still under copyright, I'd post it. Gorgeous, sensitively-drawn illustrations, too.

Not too much going on here this morning, I'm just working on a menu plan & grocery list and having my coffee. I'm going to get dinner started in the crock pot soon, I'm making Beef Vegetable Soup. My daughter has a dentist appointment this morning and then I have a few errands to run afterward. And my mother is coming over to visit this afternoon. That's about it for me. Hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Thanks everybody! It was a nice visit despite the circumstances. His Dad has been really sick for quite awhile, so though it's still hard, it was a blessing. He's no longer suffering, trying to breathe. The pizza's & dessert were delicious too.

That's what I"m hearing about 50ish for Christmas Eve/Day...not quite Christmas feel but not as bad as last year when it was 60. Maybe next year it'll snow in time for Christmas?

Well my Christmas party was pretty awesome. Each of the 4 years I've been there we have it at the same restaurant and I really enjoy it. Great food and seeing people in the company you talk to all the time but at least half of them you never see in person. Oh yeah and there is this girl who got hired a few months ago who I've been talking to who I said I wanted to meet to a couple coworkers. Little do I know that I get there and about 7 other people from my building are telling me to go talk to her. Uh who the heck told them? lol...geez I felt more pressured than I did in high school. Ironically she wound up coming to talk to me probably because I'm one of the few people in the company she knows (I deal with the employees since I do payroll having to call them for their hours etc.)...ate too much food but oh well it's the Christmas party.

Good Morning MMC !

taking a break from my decorating and popping in here to see how you all are
having brunch, the sun is warm coming through the window it is 9c (48f), amazing for this time of the year !
Our family Christmas party is tomorrow so have to bake a cake yet today. The turkey is being dropped off at noon and will put that in the oven first thing in the morning tomorrow. I love getting ready for a party !
