Wishing you all a Merry Tuesday and hoping those of you who have to contend with weather and driving conditions are safe and warm.
My commute this morning was harrowing - I tripped over a pitbull who was chewing on a labrador Christmas ornament that a certain cat had batted out of the tree while I was enroute to my laptop at the dining room table.
This caused me to have to detour to the kitchen to wash off the pitbull slobber from said ornament and while there, thought it was a good time to mix up a breakfast smoothie. I set the blender cup open on the counter, and went for a black Sharpie marker to touch up the Labrador ornament.
When I returned, a thief had chosen to partake of my breakfast drink. Since there were no other humans on the premises, it had to have been one of the seven furry quadrapeds. The smallest dog is immediately eliminated from the interrogation line up since she can't reach the counter. The labrador is excused because she's regal and would never lower herself to snitch from the counter. Her son might, but he gave me his floppy eared sad face which conveyed, "I woulda, but Mommy said, 'NO!'"
The pitbull looked at me like I was insane, as if to say, "You know perfectly well Chia seeds give me indigestion." Sorry, right. What was I thinking?
The Catahoula just stared a hole through me, indignant that I would suggest he would ever partake of something lacking chicken or beef if he was going to go to the trouble of stealing it.
That just left the cats, one of whom wouldn't touch human food with a ten foot pole and the other... well... the other has white facial markings and as he looked up at me as if to deny these outrageous accusations, his white facial markings were now purplish from the blueberry stains. Interestingly enough it's the same cat who originally batted down the labrador ornament.
I think it was a diabolial themed plot targeting the Labrador. So sad. In retrospect - I think I may also spend too much time alone working from home that I have this level of exchange with my furry companions. I'm becoming the crazy Christmas cat lady. ;-)
Have a great day all! :-D
Thanks Crown. I know it's hard to get nice warm days as we head into Jan and Feb!Good Morning, Folks.
Still enjoying Christmas Season 2015? I am.
(I've even still been listening to a few Christmas songs in the car!)
Weather terrible. Rain that just won't quit. Same prediction all the way to Friday, at which point we loose the warm temps and approach the freezing mark.
In the late fall/winter around here that's the way it often goes -- you either get warm weather or dry conditions but not both at the same time.
Have a Terrific Tuesday, Everyone!
What you mean you don't listen to rock in your car? I could see it...My husband is actually surprised if he hears me listening to anything else throughout the year![]()
Thanks, prancer! Best wishes to you and yours in 2016, too! Thanks Snowflake22...Best wishes to you and your family for 2016 my friend![]()

Figured that. My friend told me once that she noticed that I like "angry music." Well I need something to balance out my love for the softer Christmas season side. That's my other thing, I'm a rocker girl![]()

Enjoy it but stay safe too.
We are having liquid snow lol Rain rain and more rain!!!
Oh no! Sorry to hear of your fall and broken left fibula.Well, I guess I'll tell you all about my big Christmas adventure. On December 23, I went next door to check on my Mom. It was raining and her steps were slippery. To make a long story short, I took a fall down her steps and thought I just really sprained my ankle. It was so much worse on the 24th that I spent most of the day in the ER. Turns out I broke the bottom part of my left fibula. That's the smaller bone in your lower leg. I received a lovely stylish boot and instructions to go home and keep ice on it. It's not one of the more serious breaks… didn't even displace. But it put a stop to all Christmas plans for the year. At this point I' stuck upstairs at home because there's no bathroom downstairs and the steps are a major deal to navigate. I have an orthopedist appointment on Thursdsy and then hopefully will be able to get back to work. I enjoyed the enforced rest at first but now I'm very bored. What a horrible time of year for this to happen!
LOL I start using my headphones about now or only using the speakers when I'm home alone. I try to be respectful of those around me who do not share my obsession, lest I drive them insane. LOL
I listen no matter what, I can't quit cold turkey on my Christmas music, I choose a Christmas song everyday for mine and anyone else who wants to listen all year long on a thread here.
