:whisper: I was hoping to take advantage of some Christmas deals a few times since Boxing Day, but aside from some beautiful festive tissue and cards, I wound up buying baby gifts for a gal at work instead. It's going to be her first child and for some reason I feel like it's my daughter giving birth, perhaps because I've been a mentor for her the last two years. She's getting spoiled well. I picked up a rocking wooden elephant that has a grey plush body along with booty socks, diaper shirts and a hardcover storybook. I'm also hosting my first baby shower ever - been to a bunch, but never organized one.
I went into the local Hallmark store, but hesitated in buying a merry gift for myself as they didn't have very many Rudolph ornies left on display.
I don't usually get down after Christmas or any time of the year, but seeing the signs that the Christmas season is behind us popping up everywhere is hard to handle.
:hello: I guess I'm worried that people won't keep that merry feeling alive throughout the year the way we all try by visiting here and planning for next year.
I can only control my actions so I'll be keeping a merry thought in my head no matter what date it says on the calendar.
That's very nice of you to do the baby shower! I'm sure she'll love it and all the beautiful gifts!
Keep coming to celebrate Christmas here. It truly does help keep the PCB's away!
