Happy Epiphany everyone! For our family Christmas season ends today. Have a great week
Just spewed tea everywhere laughing out loud...
Good morning, friends!! Just crawling in to bed! I had to stay a little late this morning at work, then it is snowing, so it took a little longer to get home. EA has a two-hour delay, so she doesn't have to be at school until 11.
I'm going to head to bed for a nap. DH put chili in the crockpot for dinner. It smells great! I'll ttyl!

Good morning MMC! Happy Tuesday!!!
I still can't believe I forgot to get the taco soup going this morning!! Darnit! I was looking so forward to smelling that when I go home for lunch. Ha ha! Ah well - could be worse, right?
Last night I watched "The Nine Lives of Christmas" - such a cute movie, but I stayed up too late. Couldn't stop watching! Then I think I saw every hour overnight. Didn't sleep well & not sure why. Hate it when that happens. Coffee tastes yummy this morning!!!
The weather report says we got 3.5 to 4" of the white stuff overnight. Sure is pretty this morning!! The sun is trying to come out now. They are saying wind/drifting later today. Great... Brrrrrrr!!! We are currently at 10ºF!
Have a great day everyone!!! Stay safe & warm!
Happy Epiphany, everyone!

In the 20's here this morning, first day back to school for DD. We're supposed to have lows in the single digits & highs below freezing for the next couple of days. Thankfully, there is no chance of precip, so school should not be affected. If it's going to snow, I want it to start on Friday night & finish by Sunday morning so school can go on! I know the teachers pray for snow, but I'd rather get school finished now & not have them going in June. They already start school the first week of August!
I got Christmas cards at CVS yesterday. 75% off, plus Extracare Bucks---less than $2.00 per box!
Now that Christmas is over, I'm now focusing on our Walt Disney World vacation in June. We're paying that off ASAP. There's not much planning left to do, just waiting to make our FastPass reservations in April. We're just saving up as much as we can so we don't have to put anything on the credit card when we get there!
Trying to start the new year drinking more water, keeping the house straightened better, reading my Bible & praying more, exercising more. You know, the usual! I don't put pressure on myself, just do what I can. I'm also going to try not to stress so much about DD's school things. She so scattered & I'm a list-maker. It makes things "interesting" for us!
Happy Epiphany, MMC!!!!!!! We had 3 inches of snow when I measured at 6am and we probably got another inch after that. So around 4 inches total. Luckily the heavy band set up just north of us so we avoided the 6 and 7 inch totals. It was a light and fluffy snow too so it wasn't to hard to shovel. Just time consuming because it goes every where when you try to push it. I've got everyone's cars cleaned off though and everything shoveled. So now it's time to relax. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!
:Good morning, buddy~
Thank you for the thoughts & prayers.
Hope you have an awesome day!

Morning Snow, morning everyone. Hope you all have a good day.
Good morning!
It's a cold 19 degrees this morning and we are supposed to get about 3 inches of the powdery stuff this morning. So, I was out the door and off to an earlier than usual start this morning. I wanted to get on the road and get into the office before the snow started falling here this morning, I planned it just right. Just as I walked out of the house at 4:20, the first flakes started coming down. 35 miles later, the roads were just starting to turn white and I was here at the office; mission accomplished, safe and sound....
Good Morning MMC !!
the brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs are here for sure! It is a wind chill of -22c (-8f) this morning.
Off to work in bit. Looks like school buses are going out today even though we are still under a snow squall watch.
Hope you all have a fantastic day !
Good morning!
We are expecting a bit of snow this afternoon. I would typically be super excited but now I have to worry about the girls driving in it. Wish we would have got some last week when everyone was on vacation!
I head back to work this morning. I have to pack lunches and get breakfast started so I've got to run. See you later this afternoon, I hope everyone has a wonderful day!
Oh does it ever look so nice. I so desired a place to live where there was an abundant wildlife, woods, fields, some farm animals and hopefully a stream. And I was blessed to find such a place.
My property is adjacent to an undeveloped 100 acre tract of land to the right of me, a farm to the left and behind me. I have just about 4 acres, and at the back and one side of my property, I have a small stream that constantly flows from natural springs on the farm pasture behind me.
Since December, I have seen numerous deer, a flock of wild turkeys, 2 coyotes, rabbits, squirrels, and a lot of Blue jays. I can also hear an owl in the woods at night. Just last night, I walked down to the mailbox (with a flashlight in my hand) and when I got down there, I turned it on and jumped up 3 or 4 deer.
Whoa, that's cold....I always do say though, it's a just cause to do some snuggling.
Hmmmm, is there any correlation, that a severe cold winter, will cause a baby boom in late summer/ early fall?????
Chilly yesterday but really not too bad for winter and it came with no further rain.
Got a little outdoor work done, which sadly involved mainly undecorating.
Yes, the house is bare of Christmas once again until next December.
With one exception.
We always keep our poinsettia out as long as it has blossoms.
Our thermometer stands just above 29 degrees here at this hour.
Have a Terrific Tuesday, Folks!
Our friends are on their way to Indy now. She said there are jack knifed semi's all over - a UPS double on it's side. They didn't see a salt truck until about 30 minutes ago.... she said Indiana got it much worse than we did here in Ohio. Stay safe & warm made!

Yup, I believe it may. Both of my children were born in November. Here's the joke between my wife and I, My son was born in November of 92, my daughter in November of 94 and the February of 96, my wife made me sleep on the couch.....

So what exactly is Taco soup. Sounds very interesting , I would like to try it. I have Nine Lives recorded, I never got round to watching it.
Hope you rest better tonight. I actually slept well last night, I needed to catch up. Hope you day is a good one and you figure out something for dinner.

I never considered the fact that there are various types of snow. I am glad it wasn't to heavy for you but can imagine the lightness made it tricky. Enjoy your down time and I hope the weather remains manageable.:

You deserve to relax!!! Tonight that snow is going to blow all over & you can start again tomorrow. That's nice of you to clean off cars!!!
Hope you warm up & have a great day!!!!
Yep. When it's closer to freezing, it is a heavier more dense snow. The colder it gets, the fluffier the snow gets and the lighter it is.
Or to look at it another way, at 30 degree's 1 inch of rain would make 10 inches of snow. At 10 degree's that 1 inch of rain would make 20 inches of snow.
Thanks festive! We will still have the soup, since we eat late, I might just have to turn it on high for awhile!
Here's the recipe - I actually like it better than chili - but it's similar.
Taco Soup
2 lbs. Hamburger (I used 1 to 1 1/2 lb)
1 onion, chopped
1 can pinto beans, 16 oz, drained
1 can red kidney beans, 16 oz, drained
1 can whole kernel corn, 16 oz, drained
2 cans stewed tomatoes
1 can Rotel tomatoes
3 cup water
1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
1 pkg. dry Ranch dressing mix
Brown Hamburger, add onion together & drain. Mix all ingredients & heat. Serve with shredded cheese, sour cream, Frito's &/or lettuce.
This soup freezes well.
Can be made in crock pot. Brown hamburger, then mix everything together in crock pot. Cook all day on low, or as needed.
Hope you enjoy Nine Lives (and the taco soup if you try it) :-D
