My 2 daughters are having a sleepover tonight so 7 kids total staying over. I hope they sleep but pick up is 10:00 and then I can relax!!

Ahh. That's a fantastic idea, MerryCarey! There isn't much patriotism in Canada that doesn't revolve around hockey. Even then, there are probably only about two dozen sounds that would make it on to my directly related to hockey playlist!



Victoria Day is considered the first (long) weekend of summer in Canada. I'm excited!

Yes, I guess it's a little different in Canada! Still, I like to think everybody can enjoy some Sousa marches! Hope you'll have a great Victoria Day! Isn't that Queen Victoria's birthday--?

It went moderately well ... It needs another round of antibiotics and another appointment or two before it's finished, one way or another. They may not be able to save the tooth. I'd like to get my hands on the dentist that botched the original job many years ago.

Glad to hear that you made it through the first step. I hope they save your tooth, especially after going thru all you've been through already. It's such a long and drawn out process and you also have to take off from work as well each and every time; well, at least I had to!

I agree with you, I'd like to get ahold of the one who did mine as well, that was a 1000.00 dollars thrown down the drain....and this one was is even more expensive than the last one~

There was some really unique things!!

I bought a grapevine pumpkin, decorated with pine cones, berries, fall leaves, and battery operated lights inside, for about $10! It'll be a great addition to my pumpkin collection!

Good evening everyone. I had a rough afternoon. Came home from work with a terrible migraine. I had to take something and crawl in to bed for a couple of hours. Spent the rest of the day catching up with my daily chores. Didn't have the strength to run any errands but I plan on doing that tomorrow. Feeling better now, just tired so I'm going to turn in soon. I'm sure tomorrow will be a better day. Sorry I've been doing a lot of complaining lately about how lousy I feel, I'm trying to figure out why. I'm sure I'll get to the bottom of it soon. Keeping you all in my thoughts. Hope everyone is well and had a nice day. Goodnight everyone!

I truly believe it is time for a sort of Hallmark Holiday channel for year round holiday movies. Not just Christmas but a movie for every holiday. It should also include movies not only made by Hallmark but for other channels also.

Good Morning, Fans of the Holidays.

And I don't know about you but I'm a real fan of the latest count numbers.
Let's look at them:
Days to the Season: 196
Days to Christmas Day: 238

And just like that, we find ourselves down to TWO WEEKS to the HALF-WAY Milestone to this year's Christmas Season.
(How did the first half of our march back to the Season go so quickly?)


Heavy rain early yesterday evening also brought chilly temperatures.
Fortunately, there was no severe weather.
Today has begun with a light rain falling and the temp at 54 degrees, with the promise of continued cool.
The weekend is supposed to be excellent, however!

Good morning, everyone!

Another morning is another day of work. I picked up a shift last night for North Dundas. It isn't all that far (distance-wise) but the only real way to get here is through the back roads. In total, I think it was about a 42 minute drive. Overall, it's not too bad. At least there was no real traffic. I believe this is my third time here this year. I was last here a couple weeks ago. It's a good school.

It was an overcast drive from Ottawa. Temperatures are nearing double digits (50s). We should be into the 20s/high 60s this afternoon with a slight chance of rain. No complaints here!

Many thanks to everyone that wished me well yesterday. I had a great day! Kim gave me a few nice presents, and I had some nice talks with my mom and dad. There are some celebrations planned with old friends on Saturday. It is hard to believe I have started a new decade, but I am looking forward to it!

Well, the weekend is almost here. I hope everyone has a great Friday!!

Memorial Day is May 25th this year.



I think of it as the beginning of the patriotic season: Memorial Day, Flag Day, and the Fourth of July. I load up the summer music, patriotic music, and John Philip Sousa!

I do too! I get so excited for this time of the year - just as I do the 'Bers! I have a lot of patriotic decorations that I put out for the summer. I can't wait!
