Christmas Countdown - 2015

Good morning. The sun's up, the bunnies are up, I'm up, might as well brew a pot of coffee...
We really enjoyed ourselves last night, the crabs and seasoning was delicious, plus I had a bowl of Maryland crab soup for an appetizer and for dessert I had some chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream....Stuffed to the gill's last night, I was, but very happy!!

Today, my plans are to head to home depot and buy some 1/2" CDX and install that with insulation and a vapor barrier on the walls in the basement. I'm hoping to also start sanding down these massive shelves (they are 15 feet long and 2 feet wide. I salvaged them from being thrown in the dump) they are really nice, beautiful, natural wood and nothing wrong with them. I'm going to modify them, and build some custom shelving in the basement.

Sooo, no rest for me....Coffee, then a little breakfast, get dressed and get cracking....

And say. There are now just TWELVE days remaining until the half-way marker to the Season.
Almost down to SINGLE DIGITS!


Well! We finally broke the 70 degree barrier yesterday, and with plenty of sun, no rain and a lack of pollen fall, it was the nicest day in quite some time.
More of the same today is predicted, then much warmer next week.
The second half of our weekend has commenced here at 51 degrees.

Sleepover was great but my youngest daughter and her friend did not go to sleep until 1 and they were up at 6...needless to say caffeine was my friend yesterday![emoji1]

Good morning everyone!
Happy Sunday!
I'm having a cup of coffee and relaxing. My husband and the girls are still sleeping, I'm sure they were all up late. I can't stay awake anymore. I would always be the last one to bed, now I'm the first. I had an allergy attack before I fell asleep last night. I made the mistake of rubbing my eye and it was so swollen. Still puffy this morning but not as bad. I have to be more careful around the cats. Anyway, not too much going on here today. My oldest has to work but my two youngest are off. We're going to take a ride to the mall this afternoon, maybe grab lunch while we are out. My husband will be working in the back yard, getting it ready for summer. We'll all meet up for dinner tonight, I'm making penne a la vodka, tomato & mozzarella salad and garlic bread.
I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Good Sunday morning, my Christmas friends!

Mom's on her way to the Outer Banks of NC with a bunch of our cousins, so she'll have a great week visiting and walking the beaches. It looks like we here in the southeast will have a beautiful week, so good for her!

I'm cooking lunch for Nancy's mom & dad. It's the Italian soup that HMG mentioned on Friday. It sounded so good, I found a crock pot recipe and bought the ingredients yesterday. I found some wheat "Italian" bread, and wheat noodles, so as not to hurt Mrs. Hilda's diabetic diet. It smells great in the kitchen!
