Good morning, friends. It's raining out, but the coffee is warm and it is quite in the house. I have to admit, I've grown to appreciate that time in the morning when I am the only one up and it is nice and quiet.

Going to do some cooking and work at home today. The playoffs are on and I plan on spending time watching them, but there is quite a bit to do around the house. So it looks like I will catch glimpses of the games. Regardless, I love these kinds of days.

Don't know if y'all have seen the weather, but it looks like we are all about to get cold. Brrrrrr......

I love those quiet mornings too especially with the Christmas lights on . I am having a similar day myself just pottering around the house ... love those kinds of days too

Well we just took the tree down and boxed it for the loft. This is our first artificial tree and I have to say I don't miss having to drag it out of the house to recycle That was always such a task!

I took a few more things down too and I brought the storage boxes down ready for the rest of it. I will finish up during the week.

As I a write this it is hitting me that it's all over but I am in good spirits. Kids and I have already been planning for Halloween. We want to get a Halloween tree

I'm going to cook a nice batch of potato soup, vegetable soup, sloppy joes. I haven't made my mind up....



I will probably end up cooking two of the three so we will have food most of the week! I love crockpot cooking!

Hope you all had a good night. I ended up watching The Sound of Music and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof - two of my favourite films. Then I watched Netflix till very late, didn't go to bed till around 2am!

No plans today. We have some things we need to return but I really can't be bothered today! I think I will just stay in and do some baking. I will be in work tomorrow and from Monday I will be swamped. Better enjoy the last of the holidays today in that case

A bit warmer yesterday (50's) but still a little chilly as we didn't get much sun.
Today has started out damp after some rain overnight.
We are at 46 degrees now, here in the capital city.

Good morning, MMC! Not a whole planned for today. We do have a birthday party planned for this evening, but until then, we're just going to stay in and enjoy the day with each other. We're supposed to eat some ice today and it's started here already.

The party is for one of neighbors, that we've become good friends. They have twins that are turning 8. They're have a bowling party. We'll all have a lot of fun.

It is snowing out! About an inch an hour is coming down. :

Going to turn into rain/freezing rain, but right now it is a Winter Wonderland out there!

I get to putter around the house today ~ yay! But, wait, I have great news: I went up in the attic a few days ago!!! Yes, it only took me over a year and a half, but at least I finally went. Bodes well for a good year, don't you think? :wink:

We shouldn't see to much accumulation though. Not a lot going on for me today. Just need to run to the grocery store for a few items and then it will be back home to work on taking down more Christmas stuff. My goal is to get all of my Santa's down today. Then the tree will come down tomorrow. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!

Raining and cold here too. Hope you manage to get everything done today and not to down about packing away your santas. Don't worry you will be bringing them back out before you know it Good luck with the tree tomorrow.
